the robot is the creation of Chris Wollard from Tulsa, and is an art car with space for 8-10 people to ride in back; robot's friend is a modified Gerlach ambulance, the Jambulance, by Kent Robinson
I did the Lego thing...because it's January...
Please ignore the ludicrously stubby arms.
I have a few things from my backlog to post as well as some more drone-y goodness coming soon, so keep an eye out!
Enjoy!
I spend too much to be Robot ...

"The city looks nice from up here, Danbo." said Trevor.
"Yes it does, my little Jurassic friend." replied Danbo.
"Can we go and have a look around and that? It looks ace."
"No, it's best we stay up here."
"Why's that Danbo? I'd really like to go."
"I know, my juvenile coelurosaurian theropod pal, but the problem is that, although it's a great city, it's totally full, to bursting point almost, of a wall-to-wall calvalcade of idiotholes, twats and thoroughly unpleasant blights on society - drinking, pissing and vomiting in the street, uncaring and self-obsessed, consuming and self-aggrandising."
"Er. Ok then."
"Listen. I'll tell you what, let's go to the Arts Centre; there's a band on that only a handful of people actually like and know about and a comedian who's routines are complex, nuanced, original and intelligent but not remotely commercially viable. You'll love it. It'll be my treat..."
Getting close; I think I'll call this version 0.9.
I may be stuck in a loop, though, because from one day to the next I decide I like or don't like certain things and work on it some more. I've tried about half a dozen different combinations of arms and legs and can never really decide which I like best.
I wanted to tweak the legs a bit on one of my older robots and wound up rebuilding it almost completely. No surprises there, I guess.

A pair of cartoony emergency rescue robots: a fireman and a nurse.
Built for the 2015 Brick Built Figure Contest on Mocpages.
Just a few more random figs I made. But now, I'm uploading at home, after my last final. I'm done with my first year of college! Now hopefully you can expect a few more builds from me. Like actual builds. Scenes. Those things. Ooooh I can just feel em coming. It's nice to be back among my collection.
My original pair of Robot Mittens. It's been about 9 months since I knit these (sorry everyone for disappearing!), but the pattern will finally be release today. Wee!
edit: On no... I'm not linked as a designer on Ravelry yet so I don't know how long it will be before I can get my pattern on there! :(
edit edit: The pattern is now available!
One of many robots lurking around East Jesus. Zoom in to check out the detail of this robot and tell me what you see.
I teach Robotics in a large, urban, public high school. It actually IS very much the way you image in to be based on movies and TV shows. It's an awesome gig. This is one student's in-progress final project. At the beginning of the term he asked me what he should build, and I said that what I've always wanted was my own personal robot army.

The Automated Combat Unit Mod. R-Box was firstly deployed during the Khhutrys crisis [I invented the name while writing this, so if it resembles/reminds something else it’s a mere coincidence] to clear a path through the environmentally hostile mining caves in order to reach the pirates who seized the control of the local outpost.
The operation was a brilliant success and the R-Box model entered mass production shortly after. Nowadays the many variants of the R-Box Unit can be found across the entire Galaxy; from the military detachments escorting exploration missions to the security teams of research facilities.
The protagonist of this photo is a very interesting action figure called “Robox” and manufactured by Japanese 1000toys company. Unlike most of the figures available it is not based on some series but its an original character they made as first release in a line of Robot figures.
It can transform from a box shape to humanoid form, hence the name Robox, even though it requires several passages and I personally prefer keeping it in humanoid form.
It has a sort of minimalist design but it’s a very high quality item.
I will surely take more photos of this figure :)

Robot 61 (8”)
This little guy somehow won the hearts of more of my Flickr viewers than any who came before him. Just goes to show when you group a kitchen strainer, electrical wire terminal, 3/8" wrenches, TV knobs, spark plug sleeves, air duct, drawer pulls together you achieve...cute!
