With two shots in my arm and spring time coloring the land, I've resumed my passion for local road trips. A local road trip generally means a drive of not over 30 minutes and the foothills present a target rich environment for this, especially during spring time. Here, a weathering fence line leads up to an old abandoned barn. This scene is quite typical in western Nevada County, where the old ways of life still reign supreme. I like it that way.

Happy Fence Friday everyone.

80 Alice St. for anyone wanting to know. Some great old furniture also. You know the kind that really has wood in it.

Happy Window Wednesday

Thanks so much for taking a look ...

enjoy what's left of the weekend :))

Went on a Drive today just because it was nice out

Of course we thought finding a haunted house was fun.

This is another photo i have of this wonderfull waterfall called skogarfossur in Iceland. It is massive and very meditated to look at. here are alot of turist so the oppurtunity of getting a photo of this place with out any people in it is very time comsuming and almost inpossible.

Today we found this beautiful Highland Cattle farm in Dell Rapids and decided to shoot some images of the spectacular fold. The fold was quietly pawing through the soft snow to grasp the forage beneath and the peaceful scene was the perfect welcoming to the great state of South Dakota. We decided to climb the short fence to get better shots of the tranquil fold... what could possibly go wrong?

A bonus of the roadtripping we've done this year. This festival is held once a year in Fayetteville, Fayette County, WV.

It was a rather quiet day on I40W. There was no one in sight behind me so I stopped right on the road, grabbed my X-Pro2 that is always on the seat beside me and fired of three quick shots. This is the best of them. I did not get out of my car. This was shot through the windshield. I thought it best to add this.

So my brother is at the only International Stunt Academy here in Norway, training to be a stunt performer. I wanted to take some photos of him while roadtripping through the forest here in Norway. We decided to take photos of him doing tricks of the car instead of going to the city. CHEK OUT HIS INSTA Parkourstuntmikael. There is a lot to see, many flips, tricks and fighting.

Photo archiving today from our October trip to Ely and the "North Shore" of Lake Superior. This area has been quite popular for spotting moose over the years, but lately it would be a very rare event!

There have been several reasons given for the rare moose sightings by local authorities, but sadly it's still pure speculation why they seem to be disappearing!

Fact: The moose population is still down 58 percent since 2006.

Still Paradise to me . . .

From a spontaneous roadtrip along the coast last August. We sat at the water in silence and took in the setting sun and the beautiful sky turning purple.

Eventually, we found our way to the downtown area and spent quite a bit of time wandering the streets, enjoying the architecture, and even visited a few of the small shops. And it's not accidental that I am sharing a photo of the Fairhope Soap Company ... #etbtsy

After our visit to the Grand Canyon, we also stopped in Sedona to check it out. Now taking some back roads towards Phoenix, we find the landscape and clouds to be quite mesmerizing to say the least . . .

For a guy that lives in Iowa, I find this part of America to be really quite beautiful in it's own way!

Raw and rugged . . .

Road Trip 2013 - Day 15 - June 25 - Route 66 Part III, Tucumcari, NM

To end this wonderful road trip day # 15 dedicated to Route 66 I will let the photographs do the talking as nothing I say can express the mood better ... #etbtsy

Road Trip: Route 66 Part III, Tucumcari

After a long day on the road, this view of Big Red was the perfect reward. The wind had eased, the late light turned the yellow dunes into a glowing orange and the desert stretched endlessly in every direction. It was a pleasure to see the outback at its most raw and beautiful.

The models in this breathtaking scene are Peter and Whitney - both incredibly talented photographers as well! I am in Vancouver BC, and have been living a literal dream over the past weeks roadtripping across America and Canada. I have seen many wonders and captured so much beauty, and more importantly gained incredible friends that I will certainly miss until we meet again. Too much to even edit right now, but be looking forward to a lot of new stuff trickling in over the next months!
