Inspiration Point is considered to be one of the premier roadside views of Mt. Rainier. In addition to an excellent view of The Mountain; the Tatoosh Range, the Paradise River and the Nisqually River Valley are also visible from this turnout.

What a morning it was. A half hour before the fog covered everything. My patience was blessed with a remarkable morning.

Driving through Norway in spring is a wonderful experience. The combination of colors is so amazing. The fresh green colors of the exploding nature, the blue skies and the white snow on the mountains make such a great combination.
Here I was driving along the fv660 on my way to the Vinnutrappa waterfall. This is a well known viewpoint (the Storsvingen viewpoint) although there were many places where I got out of my camper to admire the landscape and make a 'few' pictures.

I was driving a back road in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania when I saw this rider in the distance. I pulled over and realized I did not have time to grab the camera in the backseat with a longer lens so I took this shot before she got out of sight. The photo has been cropped so much that it is now too soft to be considered a good photo but I still really liked it. So my answer is to use a texture, and tell you the photo was crystal clear before I artistically used a texture for a visual effect.
Taken from inside one of the many tunnels on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This tunnel is on the higher elevation where the color was past it's peak when we were there, so I processed it in mono.
I've been working a lot this past week but now I'm off for 5 days and I'm excited to get outside, see some friends and have some fun. Happy hump day y'all. :-))

Taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Notice that it's a double yellow line the entire length of the road all 469 miles (755km). It's a blissful calming drive, road rage and bullies are not allowed. :-) Happy fenced Friday. :-))

Counting down the days till we go back to the South Is of NZ in early August. This was a passenger's view from our car taken last August while on our way to Aoraki/Mt Cook
Today was one of those days that the clouds, so beautiful yet not giving me many opportunities to photograph them with something interesting in the foreground. But I'm if nothing else, persistent. I pulled over a few times, from just North of Spokane, to Pasco, and along the Columbia River.
About this shot. Yes I was driving, but because my camera was already set up from a prior stop, all I had to do was point and a quick glance at the back screen to compose, then click. I took two shots, just in case. You never know with shots like this if you'll get anything good. Processing was easy, except my windshield had lots of bug splatters that took some time to remove in post. Also noticed I have a lot of sensor dust spots.
Kinda excited to share a couple of the other shots from today. One from the truck stop in Pasco might be my favorite. Maybe post it next. I got a couple of pretty cool tug and barge shots on the Columbia. Almost had time yesterday and today to catch up with most of you. I know who I've missed, so I'll be paying you a visit as soon as time permits.
Well, it's 1130 PM here in Grass Valley Oregon. Gonna post this and probably go to sleep so I can get a decent start and finish earlier tomorrow and do more catching up on Flickr. You are all doing some amazing photography, pushing me to do better, to be more creative. I love it!!!
Along the AMTRAK route to the Bay Area, I saw a lot more homeless than in years past. It’s a complex problem. . .
Tired of the four walls of my man cave, I decided to take a walk down the road. Yep, that same darn road I photograph in snow, rain, and shine. Not a car was to be seen either coming or going. It was a little eerie.
The landscape looks very un-spring-like, weird given that it's the first week of spring. The vines in the vineyard have yet to go to leaf and the trees look more like they're wearing their late autumn attire. It's as if the earth senses there is a blight on the land and is responding in its own way.
And that's the way it was on my road, on Monday afternoon, in the year of the coronavirus .
