The baby brother of the Stolen-Gulf Bridge it was built in 2016 and is a pedestrian only bridge and is part of the Indian Trails Park.

About this photo: The Pattullo Bridge officially opened to traffic on November 15, 1937. This bridge crosses the Fraser River and links the cities of New Westminster and Surrey in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Because of the age of this bridge and the fairly narrow lanes, a new project came along and they started building a new bridge a couple years ago. The new Pattullo Bridge named "stal̕əw̓asəm" or Riverview Bridge officially opened on February 14, 2026 while the Pattullo Bridge stayed open for pedestrians and cyclist until this morning. The Pattullo Bridge is now officially closed and will be demolished. This process will start at the end of February 2026 and will take 2 years.
This is a photo of the Pattullo Bridge from a few years ago taken from Sapperton Park with a view of the Fraser River and the SkyBridge (bridge for the Skytrain, which is our local light rail).

Be they resting places for people of Faith, a family line, fallen heroes, or International war memorials, there are cemeteries that have stood so long a time that no more souls may be laid to rest in them.. Only ancient trees and caretakers stand watch over the departed.
These places of rest are full ,and often those who might visit or leave flowers and memorials are also long gone leaving no flowers or holiday memories , they rest in yet another place .

Brooklyn’s Old Domino Sugar Factory
In 1880s, the sugar processing business was booming, and Domino Foods was at the top of its game. Founded in 1799 by German immigrant cousins Frederick and William Havemeyer, the company built a Romanesque Revival facility in 1856 on Brooklyn’s waterfront, a prime location to receive the loads of raw sugar that were shipped in daily from the American South and Caribbean.
The crane chicks were hanging around in the backyard while their parents looked for food for them. They may look like they're going to be best friends for life, but I have watched them attack one another!
