A photographer's life that is ! What people do to get a good shot. The water was calm and steady. The sun had risen to the left, and bathed the waters.
This is a single exposure. tuned thru ACR .
And ! This is my friend Sai/
The bird was flying in a cloudless sky.. the sky was exactly as you see it but photographed 2 days later.. I simply put them together. Both images taken in the same place using the same camera. This was near where I live. This image can be found in my set called 'creations'.

Happy Easter to all who celebrate!
A bit of a stretch for an Easter theme, but this trumpeter swan rose up in the early morning to spread its wings. In the winter we can find tundra swans near us, and the tundra looks very similar to the trumpeter. Nevertheless, we were hoping to spot trumpeter swans in Yellowstone. We saw some adults with cygnets way off in the distance, too far off for an image. But this one was swimming along in a stream right up to where I was waiting on the bank. Yellowstone has a way of making some animals completely unafraid of our presence. A national treasure.
This photograph was taken from the Lower Seletar Reservoir Heritage Bridge looking towards the Orchid Country Club and beyond. The sun has risen above the vegetation in the Country Club. The sun beams and reflections of the sun in the reservoir provided interesting contrasts to the landscape.
Best wishes for a wonderful weekend.

Tonight, I lay my head on a feather pillow as I watch that bokeh moon through my window.

Every day sun goes down leaving behind beautiful colors in the sky.
This view from the mountain makes the scene more beautiful and just risen Moon in the sky make the picture, perfect.

BLOOD OF EDEN – PETER GABRIEL & SINEAD O'CONNOR
... And when you left the fields of yellow
faded in the winds of time
the golden ears of corn bowed down
finally beyond all reason or rhyme
But now my heart has risen up
the fields are red adorned with flowers
the bluest mountains reach towards the heavens
the promise of Spring is surely ours
I thought there would never be anyone else
to replace you in my field of dreams
but gentle words flow like a river
and settle within me or so it seems
I want to believe in the everafter
when our souls will meet again
but for now I must seek the quantum of solace
in the absence of the gentlest rain
The silent tears roll down the years
and bathe me in a rosy glow
the sunshine warms me; holds me closely
I feel immense that all I know
Is carefully parcelled; tied with ribbon
red velvet bow soft to the touch
a secret gift to be opened slowly
unwrapped; unveiled and loved so much
Inspiration is my succour
that piques my salient desires
I know that you will understand me
be happy someone tends these fires
the burning embers that you left me
now ashes crumble in the dirt
dust is dust that once was earthbound
in Heaven there is no more hurt
My heart sings out the freedom of nature
like a bird on the wing I soar so high
above the mountains through the clouds
swooping towards an open sky
I reach the stars just as the night falls
and cloaks the earth in silent reverie
sweet dreams my love; I know you're smiling
your generosity sets me free
Love is freedom to be ourselves
no matter what direction we take
the ones who love us are happy for us
and theirs is the love we do not forsake
Be still my beating heart; be silent
only when the end is nigh
for I am alive and my joie de vie
my joy of life cannot be denied ...

"On the third day, He rose again..."
Easter and Spring are symbols of hope for the new year and for what lies afterward.
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter from my garden!
A very Happy Easter to you all out there.
I thought I would share something I heard this week. Someone was speaking about their personal story and she said "I stopped being a "Jesus Fan" and started living my life for Him. I found this quite powerful.
The anticipation is cutting
Through the air
The grasses shiver
Like just before the rain
But this time
John The Baptist
Won’t need to cry in vain
We know you are with us
Easing our pain
The difference this time
Is that it won’t be the same
Some of us will follow you
A second chance
Gratefully taken
Love has risen
For us
Yet again
This image and poem belongs to a series of works on the theme of the meadow that I have now placed up on my website. The English meadow is one of my most favourite habitats to take photographs in. Eventually, this work may join the others that I have included on the website.
You will find some new work on this theme on the new page ‘In The Meadow’ in the drop down menu on the Home Page under the main heading ‘Sacred Spaces’. I am hoping to add more work to this page, as well as on Flickr.
This image was taken at Glynde, East Sussex, UK, in the beautiful churchyard.

The sun has risen a little higher this morning in the rear of Saxon Switzerland, it shines on the fog in the valley - and they start to dance - a wonderful spectacle - but only for early risers!
Another shot from Wedge Pond but after the sun had risen. The Autumn colors were vivid and the reflections, playful. Fortunately the clouds played their part as well saving me from a bland blue sky. As well, another photographer (whom I later met) sets up on the far side of the Pond.
Warm and cold low level LED lighting puts focus on the foreground. The milky way has barely risen above the horizon. A surrealistic landscape in the Wilderness Study Area of Ah Shi Sle Pah in New Mexico.

Matthew 28:5-7 King James Version (KJV)
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
Path of stone, you do make
My feet travel above the waves that break
Leading me to the distant skies
That tempt my mind and my eyes
To travel the path, that does make
My feet rise above the waves that break
Taken at Hill of Crosses

Happy Easter to all on this day to be Grateful for God's Love ♥
Christ is Risen: The world below lies desolate
Christ is Risen: The spirits of evil are fallen
Christ is Risen: The angels of God are rejoicing
Christ is Risen: The tombs of the dead are empty
Christ is Risen indeed from the dead, the first of the sleepers, Glory and power are his forever and ever.
— St. Hippolytus of Rome
An empty cross, a risen Savior!
May we all follow His example, loving God, loving and serving others in need...
Happy Easter, everyone.
I hope this Easter will fill your heart with the Joy! May the Peace of God go with you,and stay in your hearts forever!
I saw it behind the reeds, the sun had just risen, a breeze wind blew lightly through the field, the early sunbeams danced with the grass... I walked in peace and at that moment photographing was secondary, just silence under the skies and earth...
Thank you very much for stopping by and for all your comments and favs. They are very much appreciated.
