Everything you see is paint. I know it looks like beads but its all paint. I used alot of textured gesso and different types of paint in different thicknesses to create the look of sequins, beads feathers and rinestones. If the light is shinning on it just right it really is a beautiful painting that just glows. This was from a photo I took when we went to Rio for Carnival This took 1 month for me to paint... it was fun!

Pink gown with green bow insiperd by the Tina Cassini doll's fashion called "Dine-n-dace" made between 1964 and 1966.
Tina Cassini is a 12 inches fashion doll produced by Ross Products of New York and made in Hong Kong.
I don't have the original stuff and I've never seen in real life any of Tina Cassini doll fashion, so this is my personal and innacurate interpretation of Dine-n-dance dress.
Fabrics used:
- pink silk shantung gown, top lined in floral cotton
- emerald green shantung for the bow
- for the removable top, pink silk shantung lined in white silk shantung
- potticoat in polyester tulle, white silk shantung border
- clutch bag in synthetic white leather lined in polyester pink taffeta

How to achieve this style:
I twisted my (extremely curly) hair and rolled it into buns at the back of my head. Simple as that.
This is a vintage greeting card made by Hallmark when the movie "Little Women" came out with Elizabeth Taylor as Amy.
Her hat has a real feather glued on and the "jewel" on her necklace is a real rinestone glued on.
QSL cards have been used by Citizen Band (CB) radio folks for many years to indicate that they have talked together on a certain radio frequency, date and time.
January 1928 - was postponed from November 1927 when Grandpa's maternal Uncle was gunned down in front of his fruit store. Mob related? - don't know, needs more research!

Celebrating her 6️⃣0️⃣th anniversary this year 🎊
Original doll: 1998 Mattel my favorite fairytale Sleeping beauty.
Outfit: handmade dress👗, collar from organza ribbons lined with wire to hold shape, bodice and skirt satin overlayed with chiffon and accented with silver, sleeves and peplum Lycra dyed blue and underwear undyed Lycra and 90s Barbie heels repainted.
Accessories: Disney store crown and necklace glued with mini rinestones.
Other alterations: rebodied on Barbie fashionista body, earrings removed, face paint touched up and hair washed.
Brotherhood of the Traveling Pants
I have been traveling a bit lately; Paris, Chicago, Kansas City, Berne, Indiana. I love being on the move when the move takes me interesting places to photograph. Paris is a smorgasbord of picture taking opportunity. Everywhere you look there is something great to capture. I have been working very slowly on processing the Parisian photos…I know lots of people have been asking for a look. Not to worry, in the 2000 or so photos I took I think there are a few that I will be posting in the future.
Holy Cow!
On a recent trip to Chicago I met up with photographers Aaron Nace and Christopher Allen and had a really interesting night. Both guys are incredibly talented and a frankly quite a bit of fun to spend an evening with. We ended up at a very odd bar and in the middle of eating I turned around and noticed this guy over the door. I have to say…I think he may have summed up the whole night.

In the center a brilliant ½” topaz rhinestone is prong set and surrounded by tiny gold tone balls. The outer edge of this Florenza style ring is circled by delicate prong set faux pearls and clear glass rhinestones. This adjustable ring has a double twisted gold tone band. This piece of vintage costume jewelry is in excellent condition with light wear.

Texas Roller Derby Lonestar Rollergirls bout between the Cherry Bombs (Green) vs Rhinestone Cowgirls (Red) on Aug 27, 2011, in Austin, Texas. The Rhinestone Cowgirls won this hard fought game in overtime.
