This is a Colorado State Park with an adjoining camp ground. I had no idea what to expect and arrived early in the morning before the crowds. I had the falls to myself with unobstructed views.
A beautiful spot that I want to visit again.

Rifle Falls is a waterfalls that I had wanted to see for several years. It is a short walk from the limited sized parking lot. I really liked the very small and quiet campgrounds that is part of this park. Shot using a Sony ILCE-7RM3, FE 16-35mm F2, 16mm, at f/13.0, for 15 seconds, using a ND10.

15:05 Kidderminster to Bridgenorth. BR Class 37 No. 37423, named "Spirit of the Lakes" and previously "Sir Murray Morrison," is a refurbished diesel locomotive currently in service with Europhoenix Rail. Built in 1965 as D6996, it has operated for British Rail, Direct Rail Services, and now specializes in spot-hire, stock movements, and main-line duties, recently receiving the new EPR livery in 2025. 37423 is seen here at the Rifle Range between Kidderminster and Bewdley during the SVR celebrating 65 Years of the Class 37.

The beautiful waterfall located Northeast of Rifle Colorado in a small, but enjoyable state park is a very short walk from the park's entrance and general parking lot.

LMS Stanier Mogul, 13268 heads through a rather frosty Rifle Range with the 09:40 service to Kidderminster during the SVR Winter Steam gala 04/01/2026
28xx Heavy Freight No.2857 is seen passing through Rifle Range nr Bewdley with the 1155 Bridgnorth to Kidderminster service on the Severn Valley. 2857's 10 yearly boiler ticket expired 2nd Jan 2023.
Bit of PS with the stock, looked awful with mixed LMS/GW.

The Strike Rifle is the most common Drudge weapon and is used only by the Drones. Even though it is semi-automatic, it is capable of a charged shot that can move faster and inflict more damage than regular shots. However, it takes several seconds for the charge to build up. It also has a mode that functions like a scope. Instead of using binoculars or magnifying lens arrays like other weapons, it modifies the visual organs of whoever is using it. The orange orb visible in the center of the Strike Rifle, called bio-mass, serves as its ammunition.

The power you feel when you are standing near these falls is mesmerizing. Photographed in Rifle Falls SP, Western Colorado.
Huddersfield Rifle Club must have been there quite a long time, my uncle trained there when doing National Service in 1956 before being shipped out to Egypt during the Suez Crisis. It’s now mainly used by sports people but I believe some police marksmen still train there. Situated alongside Deer Hill Reservoir and at the foot of Shooters Nab which I suppose is quite apt really.
