Aunque en principio fue una torre de campo de una familia, a ésta se le añadió la construcción del convento que según dicen los escritos llegó a tener 40 religiosos, de la Orden de los Carmelitas Descalzos. Precisamente el nombre del Desierto le viene porque los frailes buscaban un sitio apartado de los núcleos de población, para estar tranquilos en sus rezos y trabajos

Today marks sixteen years of my SL existence. As we're all aware, SL is filled with laughs, love..people who come and go in your life. I'm so lucky to have some of the very best of the very best surrounding me.
A huge thank you to Mathias and Sirenity for their work on my animal-filled party area and all of the sweets. I'm so blessed to have you both in my life.

Palazzo Giardino et galerie des antiques : l'extérieur du bâtiment est construit en briques rouges, l'ensemble situé Piazza d'Armi (Place d'armes) dispose d'un rez-de-chaussée avec une longue galerie d'arcades et sous les toits une corniche sculptée. L'intérieur se compose de nombreuses salles richement décorées et ornées de fresques, parmi lesquelles : la salle des Trois Grâces (de style pompéien) ou la galerie des antiques (architecture en perspective).
Palazzo Giardino and Gallery of Antiques: The exterior of the building is built of red brick, the complex located in Piazza d'Armi (Arms Square) has a ground floor with a long gallery of arcades and a carved cornice under the roof. The interior consists of numerous richly decorated and frescoed rooms, including: the Room of the Three Graces (Pompeian style) or the Gallery of Antiques (perspective architecture).

Every time Whiskey Monday unveils a new sim, I go and photostalk it. She hasn't left rez on yet but I know I'll catch her out one day.
These are her words taken from her picture and invitation HERE.
"On the Rocks
My new sim design is inspired by a low country tidal marsh at ebb tide. I can only take credit for the inspiration and the creative brief. The sim was designed by Sparkle Skye, who once again took my ideas and magically brought them to life. Well, less magic and more hard work. If you need sim design, I can't say enough good things about her work. She nails it every time, and I am not an easy client.
Feel free to drop by and wander around. And be sure to bring peanuts for Edgar the crow."

This was one of the views that I really liked, so I took some time lining it up. The EEP is Dave's HD Afternoon, you can find them on MP under Dave Fride. This shot is raw and unedited straight from SL.
Au n° 117 de la rue de Lastié, une maison construite au milieu du XIVe siècle, dont le rez-de-chaussée, avec sa porte et son arcade destinée à accueillir une boutique, ont été refaits au XVIe siècle, en même temps qu'on surélevait le bâtiment d'un étage.
Le rez-de-chaussée est construit en maçonnerie avec deux grandes portes en anse de panier s'ouvrant sur la rue. L'ouverture de la boutique a conservé son étal. Les deux étages en encorbellement reposent sur une lisse en chêne soutenue par les poutres du plancher. Des corbeaux en pierre soutiennent les avancées des pignons. Au premier étage, les fenêtres géminées latérales ont une petite rose au-dessus des lancettes. La fenêtre centrale a ses deux roses à quatre lobes intactes, garnies de leurs vitraux. La façade du deuxième étage est constituée par un pan de bois. Les deux fenêtres ont été agrandies au 18e siècle.
