I sold the 1940s cooker to Darren a few years ago via Ebay. He came all the way from north Lincolnshire to collect it and we've been friends ever since.
I myself put this on a stationary wallmounted scissor-holder I believe it must have been 1983. Scissors are not really working much but for melancholic reasons and since I love our retrokitchen I kept it there.
Don't know about you but I am so appreciative of retro stuff - it is often prettier and hey, more longlasting! Imean look at those colours! Granted, probably not the most healthy ingredients and parts were used back then, but they withstand time so much longer. What sticker from the 2000's wld still look that bright?????
1950's aluminium English Rose cabinets and a 1950's Aga cooker. The glass fronted cabinet is 1960's. The lino floor tiles are Marmoleum.
I love this table. But for some reason i took a rather crappity photo of it. Some day I'll shoot it in all its glory!
I rescued this kitchen from a cooking school run by nun's and retro renovated it into my Massachusetts. kitchenBlogged

I had to get this set (OK, 2 sets) because of the lunchboxes & thermoses, they are just too cute. The cookies would have been better with some texture, & I can live without the Snoopy head sandwiches.

Black-and-white image of a man kneeling and interacting with a large Newfoundland dog in a domestic setting, Hungary, 1960s.
In the 1950's Every home will have it's own robot maid :D
Wonka is a bit disturbed by her maid-bot since she just cleaned the entire kitchen and this maid-bot thinks it's not good enough!!
Maid-bot: Lets give it the white cloth test!!!

I made the table with a piece of Formica from 60's, I found it in my granny´s wardrove, probably it was a sample for remodelling her kitchen.

Kitchen after hanging cabinet over pennisula has been moved to wall on left side of picture. New shelves have been added at end of cabinets to finish them off .
Kitchen in progress... some things have changed since this photo. I hung up the ice cream sign on another wall.
My MIL painted the ugly multi-colored tile countertops before we moved in. It's not a permanent fix (we want to install vintage-style Formica with chrome edging in future) but it's much better and more of a calm, neutral background for my colors. We also want to repaint the walls and install a backsplash.
