Inspired by the "Practical Electronics" Champs DIY computer based on an Intel 4040 CPU (1977, github.com/jim11662418/PE_Champ_4040_Microcomputer), Andreas Reichel designed and built his R40 computer (picture left). It runs with 740 kHz clock frequency. Programming is done by a hex keypad.

Tobias Meyer modified a Panasonic JU-475 floppy drive with way better mechanics than the original drive. This makes it possible to read and write arbitrary track density, automated track alignment, proping points for an oszilloscope and much more.
