This was my partner's two retrievers Oski and Lucy at the weekend in my garden,
The poor Pixie didn't stand a chance and after a lot of playful tugging and gnashing of teeth, and frustrated acts of dominance there was a long tearing noise and clumps of stuffing all over the lawn, but they each got a half of Pixie.
Atticus didn't know what to think about these shoes so I hid a biscuit in one of them, hoping to capture a cool image. LOL! He could not get the biscuit out because he did not want to damage my shoe! Guess we trained him a little too well. He was never a chewer, even as a puppy.
This is our younger golden retriever. She'd been looking out the front window when I called to try to get her to look. She looked! I was practicing steadiness - hand held, 1/20 of a second, and one of only two shots (the other was a bit more blurred) Missed her eye, but still not too bad, and she's cute, so I posted it!

Lucy looking very happy during a walk recently with her brother Oski and my neighbour's guide dog Peach, also a Retriever.
In the park we met a woman with two Retrievers of her own, Rosie and Florrie and walked with them all together for a while through town, a Retriever party , each a different shade ranging from off white through different golden shades.
Last Sunday we spend a wonderful sunny day in Sidmouth. Initially, we enjoyed the rough sea and sun on our faces at Jacobs Ladder at the east end of the town. While having a picnic on the pebble beach we watched this retriever bracing the big waves to get a large log which his owner through out for him. I know that retrievers love nothing more than going into the water but this one seemed totally fearless of even the biggest waves!

Thoughts go out to memories of my own dear father, the best man I ever knew and a wonderful role model.

When I got my glasses changed this last time, there were a couple of gals playing with their dogs out in the vacant space by the shop.. I got this beautiful picture of the Golden that they were playing with and have finally decided to post it...
