The old Berkshire Mall outside Pittsfield, Mass., abandoned for years and showing the effects. This place lasted only about 30 years.
I like Asian street food. It has variety, is tasty and it is cheap. Sometimes difficult to eat, but usually it is served in ecological way, such as banana leaf, coconut shell or even just paper bag. Each food stand has only 1-3 dishes, but next to it is another one with different choices.
The idea of food truck arrived to North American cities only few years ago. It is something which is probably older than slice bread. I do not like the street food in Toronto. It is overpriced, over-packaged and nothing to write home about it.

The annual appearance of this hand painted sign near my house marks the transition from "there's plenty of summer left" to "oh crap it's already August." Worse than that is the sudden dissapearance of the sign around Labor Day. It's very difficult to maintain the charade that it's still summer once the calendar reads September.
