The Water Lily symbolizes resurrection in Buddhism and Hinduism because they close at night and reopen in the morning. I was fortunate to attend a Water Lily photoshoot and workshop at the Missouri Botanical Garden. This is my 3rd post from that collection. Resurrection Monastery, Uglich
Resurrection monastery: the man-made pride of ancient Uglich. Surprisingly, no one can say for sure who and when initiated the creation of this magnificent Orthodox monastery, located on the banks of the Volga.
The most likely version is that the monastery was founded by Prince of Uglich Roman Vladimirovich. During his reign in the 13th century, the territory of the principality united 7 cities. Uglich was the largest settlement, capital.
After the revolution, the building was given under the Museum of Antiquities, and warehouses were placed on the lower tiers of the premises. Later, the monastery was in the zone of construction of the Uglich hydroelectric station. Conducted at this time to strengthen the walls and the ground saved a unique historical monument.
In 1999, the building was returned to the parishioners, and the monastery again began to exist. But not everything has been restored.

While being swallowed in the sea of curse, Pink transported herself to a new dimension. This is the start of Pink's resurrection. She collated energy from different sources to regain her strength.

'Resurrection' was an attempt to create a composite image using both my black and white and color photographs.
is the only existing gate of the Kitai-gorod in Moscow. It connects the north-western end of Red Square with Manege Square and gives its name to nearby Voskresenskaya Square (Resurrection Square). The gate adjoins the ornate building of the Moscow City Hall to the east and the State Historical Museum to the west. Just in front of the chapel is a bronze plaque marking kilometre zero of the Russian highway system.
It’s been a long while since I’ve been confronted with these monsters, but I still have a few I can resurrect from the depths of my catalog.

Another liverwort image, in which I tried to use some primulas as foreground bokeh. Even though I'm not super religious, Easter time reminds me of the resurrection and to me this liverwort looks like it's resurrected after the cold winter time. Hope you like it!

Just months away from collapse, this charming one room schoolhouse was saved and now is nearly fully restored. After interior work is completed, it will be opened for today's school children to get a feel of what is was like going to school in the first part of the 1900's.
And being less than a mile away from a new Hurt's Donuts doesn't hurt it's exposure either. My wife was munching on one as I was wading through the snow drifts taking these pictures....LOL
