Había uno para cada momento : los de poesía eran compañeros tranquilos, los de aventuras eran bienvenidos cuando se aburría y las biografías cuando deseaba conocer a alguien. Ya adolescente, llegarían las historias de amor. La tarde que descubrió que podía leer; se prometió leer un libro al día durante el resto de su vida.....

It just goes to show how exposure and lighting can make a huge difference. This was taken a few seconds after the shot of the same seed head I posted a couple of weeks ago. The difference is all in camera...
Rest Stop a small flock of crows came over and this one decided to stop and rest for a few minutes, shot in North Carolina.
Seems like a good place to hang out but in Newfoundland wind it didn't stay here long and I ended up chasing that red leaf until I lost it.

A ruby throated hummingbird takes a break from feeding and rests on a branch of a crocosmia plant. This was taken in my yard :-)>
And suddenly, without a warning, she stopped walking and sat down in the green green grass, between the flowers, extending her small hand towards him, her face ornated with that bright smile his company always gave her.
Looking up while slightly squinting her eyes, because of the sun warming this bright spring afternoon, or maybe because of how much light was overflowing from him, she grabbed the hand he had just reached out to her.
Her lips parted delicately and she spoke with the softest voice, rounding every word with that tenderness that they always shared with one another :
" - Kneel down Love,
rest that heavy head on my lap,
close those tired eyes of yours,
fall asleep on me for a bit Lover,
come and let's enjoy this moment together,
for I want time to stop exactly right now.
Let me run my fingers in your hair,
and hum you the sweetest melody you inspire me,

The beautiful landscape of the Atacama desert, with two donkeys taking a rest. The two volcanos are Licancabur (5920m, considered as being a holy mountain) and Juriques (5705m) (Atacama desert, Chile)
A male monarch butterfly resting on a thick-spike gayfeather flower. I was happy to capture the rolled up proboscis. I've seen monarchs occasionally since the spring, typically one at a time, but few of them have been willing to pose like this. It will be interesting to see what the fall migration brings.

Three Alaska railroad GP's prepare to load out the rest of the ARMS barge on a typical Whittier day. Cold, wet, and foggy pretty much sums up this all season port with the original military era housing standing in the background. One of the neat things about the Whittier switch stands is that they all are some how lit at the same time in this shot and no its not photoshopped. After loading is complete these three Gp's will depart under the cover of darkness for Anchorage.
These creatures are absolutely majestic. Those antlers jutting up like a wooden crown, the whole way they hold themselves... It's almost regal. You can tell, as he lays there, he knows he's in charge. I walked from nearly where that car in the background is to this new spot finding better framing opportunities, I wanted to actually capture this elk properly this time.

This beautiful beach is at Nelson Bay. A tiny shack settlement with a permanent registered population of four. That's right, four. If you want off-grid living, this is the place to be. And far enough from the rest of the world to be able to not give a care either. In this part of the world, the Tasmanian east coast is a foreign country.
