It is hard to believe that we have yet another school shooting. It is completely beyond understanding! Surely our children are the most precious part of our lives and yet they continue to get killed. Violence only begets violence, let's start preaching and practicing love, peace, support, understanding and responsibility for all. We can and we must stop this dangerous and bad behavior which contributes nothing to our society but pain!

In this family Fynn is responsible for the well-being of the tomatoes which means that he spends a lot of time with them, watches over them and I suppose he talks to them too. He does that every year and is quite successful. Last year we had a fantastic tomato harvest.

Looking at freedom as a personal right: Freedom is the right to work out a personal credo. I just received Mary Oliver's new book from my dearest friend, Evelyn - Upstream. On the back jacket cover is a quote that I feel must be Oliver's personal credo:

Form seasonal bonds with males in autumn or winter, but do not mate for life.
Nest Building:
Handled entirely by the female. She creates a shallow scrape on the ground near water and lines it with down feathers plucked from her own breast.
Egg Laying:
Lays a clutch of 1 to 13 creamy-white or greenish eggs.
Incubation:
Lasts 26 to 30 days. The male departs entirely once all eggs are laid, leaving the female to incubate alone.
Fledgling Care:

Rough waves lash the coastal areas in Subic Town after typhoon Mangkhut made landfall early Saturday morning in a far northeastern province in the Philippine largest island of Luzon.
It was packing sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour (kph), with gusts up to 255 kph, the state weather agency said. Its sustained wind speeds, according to other reports, make the typhoon equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane and the most powerful storm to hit the country so far this year.
Known locally as "Ompong," it is called a "monster" typhoon as it has a diameter of more than 1,000 kilometers. Hence, most parts of the Island, including Metro Manila, have been placed under varying storm warning signals, with Typhoon Signal No. 4 in several northern Luzon provinces which were in the path of the typhoon's unusually large eye.
Unlike in northern parts of Zambales, which reportedly experienced heavy rains and strong winds from midnight to mid-day today, most of the towns in the province's southern section, which includes Subic, had only light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds. Still the weather disturbance has caused turbulent waves in Subic Bay. Zambales is in Central Luzon.
Ompong was forecast to leave the northwestern parts of Luzon in mid-morning today and will be out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) tonight.

DGS 43853 from Rheine to Puccio Rusco only carries brand-new trailers. On 11 June 2022, these were uniformly white. On this day, the locomotive was the 193 553 from Alpha Trains, which was driving for TXLogistik. A photo of this special intermodal train was taken in the woods between Grafing and Assling.

The Party´s over!
Das alte Jahr ist Vergangenheit, 2020 ist da. Alles bleibt gut, der Rest wird besser. Neue Ziele werden gesteckt, die eigenen Skills geschärft. Wer weiß das schon!?! Jeder hat seinen eigenen Kopf. Sein eigenes Herz. In diesem Sinne: "Frohes Neues".

The Rock of Dunamase is in County Laois, Ireland and it sits 151 feet above the surrounding plain with the ruins of Dunamase Castle sitting on top of it.
In 1152 the King of Leinster, Diarmuid MacMurrough, abducted Dervorgilla the wife of Tiernan O’Rourke, the Prince of Breffni, although some accounts suggest she willingly eloped with Diarmuid who was in his 60s and she in her 40s.
MacMurrough conveyed Dervorgilla to Dunamase Castle and she would have been very familiar with this view, often standing where I was standing when I took this photo.
After enlisting the help of the O'Connor clan, O’Rourke rescued his wife the following year when the O'Rourkes and O'Connors drove MacMurrough from Dunamase Castle and a state of war continued until eventually MacMurrough went to England seeking assistance from the kIng, Henry II, which ultimately resulted in the English invasion of Ireland.
In 1170 MacMurrough gave both Dunamase Castle and his daughter's hand in marriage to the Norman conqueror Strongbow, as part of the deal made to enlist Strongbow’s help and the Norman invasion of Ireland then followed when Strongbow accompanied MacMurrough, along with many men, to attack and regain MacMurrough’s lands.
It is acknowledged that MacMurrough bears the direct responsibility for bringing in the English which resulted in English rule over Ireland for the next 700 years. If Dergorvilla willingly eloped, she has an indirect responsibility. She eventually entered a convent at Mellifont where she passed away at age 85 in 1193.

Juni wurde kurz nach Sonnenaufgang Stellung bei Wernfeld bezogen - und der erste coole Zug lies auch nicht lang auf sich warten: Um 7:45 rumpelte Alpha-Trains/TXL 193 553 mit dem überpünktlichen - sogar etwas verfrühten - Kölner KLV durch die Kulisse, die zu der Zeit noch sehr von Morgenstimmung geprägt war. Nachdem die Lokomotiven mit Italien-Zulassung von TXLogistik Nördlich von München-Laim bzw. sogar von Kufstein relativ selten geworden sind, freute ich mich entsprechend über das Bild.

In a world defined by responsibility, seriousness, and relentless hurry, a glowing neon sign whispers a simple yet powerful message: “Never Grow Up.” These three words, captured in the fleeting atmosphere of a bustling café, carry a meaning that extends far beyond their apparent simplicity.
The concept of never growing up is often associated with preserving a childlike innocence and maintaining an everlasting curiosity. It is a call to retain the ability to see the wonder in the mundane, to delight in the small things, and to explore the world with open eyes. In childhood, every moment is filled with possibilities, and every minor adventure can be the greatest.
Yet, “Never Grow Up” is more than just a sentimental recollection of the past. It also serves as a critical reflection on society, which often demands that we relinquish our youthful dreams and fantasies to fit into the role of ‘adult.’ This role is filled with obligations, serious decisions, and often a heavy dose of reality that can weigh us down.
Free people of a free country!
The 19th day of our resistance is over. Historical war. Another difficult day, which is still approaching our victory. Approaching peace for Ukraine.
As before, the enemy is confused. They did not expect such resistance. They believed in their propaganda, which has been lying about us for decades.They still can't recollect themselves. But they have already begun to understand that they will not achieve anything by war.
Their soldiers know this. Their officers are aware of this. They flee the battlefield. They abandon equipment.
We take trophies and use them to protect Ukraine. Today, Russian troops are, in fact, one of the suppliers of equipment to our army. They could not imagine such a thing in a nightmare.
And I want to tell the Russian soldiers. Those who have already entered our land. And who are just about to be sent to fight against us.
Russian conscripts! Listen to me very carefully. Russian officers! You’ve already understood everything. You will not take anything from Ukraine. You will take lives. There are a lot of you. But your life will also be taken.
But why should you die? What for? I know that you want to survive. We hear your conversations in the intercepts, we hear what you really think about this senseless war, about this disgrace and about your state. Your conversations with each other. Your calls home to your family. We hear it all. We draw conclusions. We know who you are.
Therefore, I offer you a choice. On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I give you a chance. Chance to survive. If you surrender to our forces, we will treat you the way people are supposed to be treated. As people, decently. In a way you were not treated in your army. And in a way your army does not treat ours. Choose!
Our brave defenders continue to inflict devastating losses on Russian troops.
Soon the number of downed helicopters of Russia will reach hundreds of units. They have already lost 80 warplanes. Hundreds of tanks and thousands of other units of equipment.
In 19 days, the Russian army has lost more in Ukraine than in two bloody and years-long wars in Chechnya. For what?
I am grateful to those Russians who do not stop trying to convey the truth. To those who fight disinformation and tell the truth, real facts to their friends and loved ones. And personally to the woman who entered the studio of Channel One with a poster against the war. To those who are not afraid to protest. As long as your country has not completely closed itself off from the whole world, turning into a very large North Korea, you must fight. You must not lose your chance.
The European Union has approved the fourth package of sanctions against Russia. The fourth - and I'm sure not the last.
We are working with partners on new restrictions that will be applied against the Russian state. Everyone who is responsible for the war. Everyone who is responsible for the destruction of democracy. Everyone who is responsible for repression against people. Everyone will get an answer. The answer of the world. And this is just the beginning.
Responsibility for war crimes of the Russian military is inevitable. Responsibility for a deliberate humanitarian catastrophe in Ukrainian cities is inevitable. The whole world sees what is happening in Mariupol. Kharkiv. Chernihiv. Sumy. Okhtyrka. Hostomel. Irpin. In all our cities.
All our partners are informed of the crimes of the invaders against civilians and local self-government in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. In the temporarily occupied areas. There will be an answer for that. Necessarily. For the disrupted humanitarian corridors. Necessarily.
During the day of March 14, 3,806 Ukrainians were evacuated from the cities and towns of the Kyiv and Luhansk regions.
Our convoy with one hundred tons of what is most necessary for Mariupol is still kept in Berdyansk. For three days already. But we will try. We will do everything to ensure that Mariupol residents receive food, water and medicine.
I provided full information about the actions of the invaders on the Ukrainian land in conversations with friends and partners of our state. Every aggressive action of the invaders only pushes the world to new sanctions.
I spoke with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. With President of Poland Andrzej Duda. Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel. We have 100% mutual understanding.
The conversation with Prime Minister of Israel Bennett was also important. As part of a negotiation effort to end this war as soon as possible. With a fair peace.
Our delegation also worked on this in negotiations with the Russian party. Pretty good, as I was told. But let's see. They will continue tomorrow.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has agreed on a package of decisions to support our economy.
So that business works. So that people have jobs. Where security allows. Where people are ready for it.
First, we are starting tax reform. Instead of VAT and income tax we give a rate of 2 percent of turnover and simplified accounting. For small businesses - this is the first and second group of sole proprietors - we set a voluntary payment of a single tax. That is, if you can - pay. You can't - no questions asked.
The second is maximum business deregulation. We cancel all inspections for all businesses. So that everyone works normally. So that the cities come to life. So that life continues wherever there is no hostilities.
The only condition is that you ensure the normal operation of your business in the framework of Ukrainian law.
These are just the first two steps of our tax reform. To be continued.

I have just signed a decree on awarding state awards of Ukraine to 234 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who showed personal courage and heroism in the fight for our land. For our independence. 59 of them posthumously.
May the memory of everyone who gave life for our state live forever!
