My fine art photography graces my physics books!
Regarding the award-winning physicist Dr. Elliot McGucken at Princeton University, the late John Archibald Wheeler stated, "More intellectual curiosity, versatility and yen for physics than Elliot McGucken's I have never seen in any senior or graduate student. . . Originality, powerful motivation, and a can-do spirit make me think that McGucken is a top bet."
Dr. E would go on to heal the blind with his NSF-funded, award-winning Ph.D. dissertation which also laid down the foundations of Light Time Dimension Theory. Over the years, LTD Theory added foundational *physical* postulates, principles, and equations en route to becoming numerous books, with this one forming the simple, illustrated introduction.

The great thing about the beach is that it presents an entirely different universe from season to season, from day to day, from hour to hour, from second to second, with the ever changing wind, tides, clouds, and sun. A split second with tumbling surf and a sinking sun can make a vast different, resulting in entirely different photographs.

All these years I have always been a big follower on physical fitness & sports. I played cricket & tennis regularly till now & had a decent routine of running & fitness training in the gym. All these years of good work had taken a backseat, since the photography bug bit us.
What are first day of a New Year for, if not a new resolution, so I say I am going to be fit & fine as this young lady is. Ooops, (Thubba Temples) the guy on the other side of the net! :-)

Alfons Maria Mucha also know internationally as Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), was a Czech graphic artist, painter and illustrator. He lived in Paris during the Art Nouveau period, and is best know for his noticeably stylized and decorative theatrical posters like those of Sarah Bernhardt, the most famous actress in paris at the time. Mucha produced paintings, advertisements, book illustrations as well as designs for carpets, jewelry and theatre sets, in what was called the Mucha style. His works featured beautiful young women in neoclassical robes surrounded by flowers which formed as haloes. Charles Demuth (1883-1935) was one of the leading artists during the American Modernism era. He was distinguished for intimate watercolors and cubic architectural paintings. Demuth studied art at Académie Julian in Paris, where he was welcomed into the avant-garde art scene and met other American Cubism artists like Marsden Hartley. His watercolor figures have a weightless and surrealistic character with a sensitive linear style, in which he illustrated plays and novels such as Émile Zola's Nana. He also depicted an evolving gay scene of encounters at bath houses through watercolors for his close friends, like the "Turkish Bath", works that now are of great historical significance. Demuth later employed a cubist technique by painting industrial factories with complex structural planes, leading him to becoming a pioneer for the precisionist movement. We have digitally enhanced some of his Bermuda landscapes, flowers, circus performers, and his most famous artwork “The Figure 5 in Gold”. They are free to download and to be used under the CC0 license.

Nikon D800 Photos Pretty Swimsuit Bikini Fitness Model Goddess! The shoot began under cloudy PM skies and ended in bright sun! Such is the wonderful nature of shooting at the beach--the light is always, always changing! A tip: When the sun gets too bright one can actually shoot into it with the sun above or behind the model, to keep its harsh light off her face. Just remember a lot of batteries for your fill flash!

May the Hero's Journey Mythology Goddess inspire you (as they have inspired me!) along your own artistic journey! Love, love, love the 70-200mm F/2.8 Lens! Holding it up all day, alongside the Sony NEX 6 with the 50mm F/1.8 lens for cool video bokeh which I have mounted under the Nikon D800E camera, is quite the workout! My shoulders have gotten bigger after so many days with six hour shoots in the AM and 3 hour shoots in the PM holding that rig up :). Plus I have to carry all the gear, books, and clothes a few hundred yards up and down the steep cliffs. I count my photography days as two workout days. :) But I love it! Every day presents a puzzle--how to figure out the light, and every model presents a mystery to be unlocked--what are her best angles/poses/actions? Nothing beats the challenge of capturing the natural beauty of a day out there, when the light's dynamic range can change by a factor of ten in a few minutes as the mist burns away to reveal the sun, and then the wind whips up and a fog rolls on in, making it seem like a windy December dusk in July. One must always be mindful of tide, times, and temperatures and work quickly before the cameras get too hot in the sun, or the model gets too cold in the wind, as the tide and rogue waves reach out to grab your equipment/props/clothes and claim them for Poseidon, the god of the sea . Beach photography/video is just like surfing, with the conditions always changing and every wave a bit different. Studio photography is like riding an exercise bike set at level 1 in a gym in front of a TV. And shooting stills and video @ the same time is like Jimmy Page or Slash improvising on his double-necked guitar.
I'm working on a book called "Lone Cowboy Photography: A Humble Hero's Journey into the Art of Photography" about how to shoot it all on your own--stills and video for sports, portraits, and landscapes--with no assistants nor teams. Just you and the goddesses, the heroic athletes, the majestic, epic landscapes, and a copy of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey to teach you of the poetry of epic, heroic beauty. You gotta be ready, son--you gotta be ready for quick-draw showdowns at sunrise and sunset, during the magic hours and in the harsh light at high noon. Every shoot is over the second you finish packing your bags for the day with all your batteries, backup cameras, freshly-cleaned lenses, washed and folded clothes and hoodies, and props and polarizer filters. haha yeah I never seem to fulfill New Year's Resolutions. So for the longest time I never made them. If you want to change something about yourself, I think you should just do it, not wait until it's the new year....

The great thing about the epic landscape is that it presents an entirely different universe from season to season, from day to day, from hour to hour, from second to second, with the ever changing wind, tides, clouds, and sun. A split second with tumbling surf or a dancing desert dust devil and a sinking sun can make a vast different, resulting in entirely different photographs.

Ethereal collection of illustrated artworks by the Dutch artist Theodorus “Theo” van Hoytema (1863-1917). He was employed as a draughtsman in the Zoological Museum in Leiden where he was able to draw much inspiration from the natural form of animals. Theo was known as a book illustrator, painter, aquarellist, and etcher and is renowned for his incredibly detailed lithographic work. He was inspired by French Art Nouveau movement and Japanese graphic art which influenced him to create innovative floral and animal motives. De Hoytema published several picture books for children, including the well-known The Ugly Duckling. In later years, he also published calendars, some of which can be found in this collection. We have digitally enhanced these beautiful litographs of animals, birds, and plants for you to enjoy and download to use under the CC0 license.

Floral illustrations from one of the most influential botanical artists, Georg Dionysius Ehret (1708–1770), German botanist and entomologist. He started his career as a gardener's apprentice traveling and working across Europe. Ehret was known for his Linnaean style of botanical illustrations since he closely worked with the "father of modern taxonomy", Carl Linnaeus. Ehret collaborated with Carl Linnaeus and George Clifford on his first botanical collection. We have digitally enhanced some of his botanical plates into high resolution printable quality. I am a call centre monkey.
I have had the job for over a year and it has been, erm, challenging.
My only resolution this year was to get a new job.
On Tuesday, a company I interviewed for last year called to arrange a meeting.
Today, I was offered a new job.
I hate the phrase 'job of my dreams', because it will be a challenging role that I'm sure will take me on all sorts of adventures.
But it is an excellent job (for me), and when I think of the challenges, I have three words.
Bring, It. On.
