Did two laps of down Resolution, up Tafoni. Second descent of Resolution was my best yet, held on through the whole sandstone part and only put a foot down once. (Didn't do the tree at the end though)

Delegate T. Scott Garrett, R-Lynchburg, presents House Joint Resolution No. 320 from the Virginia General Assembly commending the Virginia National Guard's Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Oct. 11, 2014, at Fort Pickett, Va. The resolution recognized the Soldiers of the 1st Battalion being presented the Walter T. Kerwin, Jr., Readiness Award at a ceremony Oct. 21, 2013, and recognized as the most combat-ready Army National Guard battalion in the nation. After making the presentation, Garrett talked with senior leaders from the battalion, then visited Soldiers conducting individual and crew served weapons qualifications during their drill weekend. It turned out to be great weather for today's Resolution 10k up at the racecourse after it got cancelled 2 weeks ago, nice to see so many familiar faces and well done to everyone taking part , did I mention I got a PB ..

Am Samstag den 19. August 2017 marschierten ca. 1200 Neonazis eine kurze Strecke durch Spandau. Vor 30 Jahren hatte sich der verurteilte Kriegsverbrecher Rudolf Heß in seiner Haftanstalt im Bezirk Spandau das Leben genommen. Seitdem verbreiten Neonazis die verschwörungsideologische Behauptung, Heß sei durch die Alliierten ermordet worden. Um diese Lüge zu verbreiten und ein "herausgeben der Akten" über den Fall Heß zu fordern wollten die Neonazis von Bahnhof Spandau zum Ort des Ehemaligen Gefängnisses marschieren. Dadurch, dass mehrere Tausend Menschen gegen die Neonazis demonstrierten, mussten die Rechten ihren Aufmarsch vorzeitig beenden, nachdem sie kurzzeitig durch Menschenleere Straßen gelaufen waren. Grund dafür waren Sitzblockaden von Antifaschist_innen. Am Rand des Aufmarsches kam es zu mehreren Auseinandersetzungen, unter aderem gab es eine kurze Schlägerei mit Anwohnenden, einem Neonazi wurde zusätzlich noch eine Fahne geklaut.

Telling a story of the years it has stood here, the Greenvale railway station is a landmark in Jamaican history. The two storey building although now occupied stands strong in its dilapidated state, rotting roofing, rusty metal work-there were even signs that scrap metal was removed from the structure. The peeling paint, missing pieces of wood all echo the silent screams of the station waiting to be renewed.
