The great thing about the epic landscape is that it presents an entirely different universe from season to season, from day to day, from hour to hour, from second to second, with the ever changing wind, tides, clouds, and sun. A split second with tumbling surf and a sinking sun can make a vast different, resulting in entirely different photographs.

UNMISS Civil Affairs Division leads a conflict resolution roundtable discussion at the Gun cattle camp in Marial-bek, with support from the UNMISS Lakes State Coordinator's Office; Relief, Reintegration and Protection Office; Human Rights Division; Public Information Office; and the Nepalese Battalion, who provided force protection.
The group met with the Ruop section of the Agar clan of the Dinka tribe, who have been in conflict with the neighboring Kuei (also part of the Agar clan) since 2007. Since the inciting incident of their conflict, seven peace initiatives have been undertaken by the Ruop and Kuei communities. In line with the traditional justice system, blood compensation (a system which calls for financial reimbursement for those killed, usually paid to relatives of the victims) was paid each time. However, even when peace has been achieved, it has been broken, most often in instances of isolated killings fueled by revenge.
In recent clashes the Kuei have joined with the Pakam (another section of the Agar clan), also in conflict with the Ruop at various times, to fight against the Ruop. The most recent large clash occurred on March 15th near Marial-bek and left over 100 people dead. This was closely followed by a night-time killing within the Gun cattle camp carried out by the Pakam, which the Ruop responded to by ambushing the roads to Pakam.
The UNMISS Civil Affairs Division in Lakes State has been holding meetings with the various groups to hear their grievances and to discuss solutions to the cycle of violence. In this, their third visit to the Gun cattle camp, the primary purpose was to provide feedback from other consultations that have been undertaken with the Kuei and Pakam, as well as the with the government. The Ruop provided the Civil Affairs Divison with their own feedback as well, and suggested discussion items for future meetings.

It turned out to be great weather for today's Resolution 10k up at the racecourse after it got cancelled 2 weeks ago, nice to see so many familiar faces and well done to everyone taking part , did I mention I got a PB ..

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Delegate T. Scott Garrett, R-Lynchburg, presents House Joint Resolution No. 320 from the Virginia General Assembly commending the Virginia National Guard's Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Oct. 11, 2014, at Fort Pickett, Va. The resolution recognized the Soldiers of the 1st Battalion being presented the Walter T. Kerwin, Jr., Readiness Award at a ceremony Oct. 21, 2013, and recognized as the most combat-ready Army National Guard battalion in the nation. After making the presentation, Garrett talked with senior leaders from the battalion, then visited Soldiers conducting individual and crew served weapons qualifications during their drill weekend. For too long a time now I work in spurts of organization...I have been 80% organized untl the twins but 3 years of being sic(preggo) and no sleep 18monts later..My organization has slipped away and and Mounting into monumental proportions..(to me)I am overwhelmed. I keep stumbling with flylady and know that each stumble set me up for today> TODAY right now I am making a WHOLE HEARTED commitment to myself,myfamily,myhusband,myfamily,friends,and the Mother Earth.... to NOT be a PERFECTIONIST and to take ONE step at a time.
I will Declutter,Reuse,Recycle,Stop buying needlessly,Reduce my foot print. I am integrated every tiny bit helps..one step at a time
I intend on having a harmonious,Warm,Magical,Romantic,Enriching,CLEAN to every corner.(not in one day or at one whole time) Beautiful HOME to Grow my little ones in warmth of Heart and Spirit. Doing this will give me TIME with them, ME, Hubby, Connection time with Friends Family...
I will have time to CREATE and My Heart will Sing since there's no trace of"guilt" for fear I a not doing something eles or not deserving this time.
I will make this fun for me by embellishing my FLY Baby Steps...so my GEMINI twins will play and pick up!
