Resin Comparison 2018/ Normal Skin
Here is my updated resin comparison from my BJD collection. Some of my dolls are not here. So I might try to update again when I gather all my dolls together. I take the picture in a Light Box Studio with no editing. I try to deliver the accurate color as much as possible. Hope it helps. :)
NS resin comparison. The Dollzone, Doll-Leaves, and Resinsoul are all made within the past year, while the others are slightly older with the Luts being the oldest (3 years)
I actually took this picture a few days ago but forgot to upload it ^^; Unfortunately, I'm not super fond of Haru so I doubt I'll ever get the purple Haru to toss in future photos but I am definitely already in love with the new Egyptian Sophie
From right to left: Wizard of Oz Lea in light gray resin, Snow Queen Miel in light blue resin, Alicce in Wonderland Lea in normal resin, Aladdin OE Cocoa in light tan resin and Pirate Lea in tan resin
DZ NY(yellowish), ED Homme(pinky), and Migi Suntan(grayish) are all close in shade with minimal differences in color. Angell-Studio New Suntan would make a good hybrid with Elfdoll Real Skin. Also DZ tanskin and Spiritdoll would be close, but Spirit is redder/darker.
Someone asked for a comparison to Dollzone White. My DZ boys are both pretty old but it still works
I know Resinsoul and Bobobie are the same company, but it was more to show how the WS matures - the RS is from July 2011 while the Bobobie is at least 2 years older.
Comparison of all the tan resins currently in the house! Withdoll Real UV, Iplehouse Light Brown, Dollmore Suntan, Luts Real Skin Brown, and Resinsoul Light Tan.
Had a lot of White skin on me, and decided to take a quick photo. The IoS white pictured here is their newer pinky white. Also, my Leekeworld headcap mellowed out from a pinky white to a creamy white.

Migi white seems pretty squarely in-between Volks and Switch's whites, but errs more towards the pink in Switch's white resin.
Migi white looks really close to DF-H white at first glance, but when compared side-by side DF-H is a lot whiter and brighter.
All the dolls are original and not yellowed.

Volks | Switch | IOS

Volks is clearly yellower than the other two, and the body's from 2016 Black Jack so it's the newest batch of Volks. IOS is the palest, which I've never really noticed despite Darcy having a body since July... >__> And was too lazy to undress him, as you can tell. :D
Anyway, I really dislike the splayed IOS hands, so I bought the new Tamias hands and hopefully they'll fit~~
Here are my recent (2013) batch of skintones. The NS was made a couple months earlier so there shouldn't be any yellowing. Left is without flash in natural light and right is with flash in natural light. Hope this is useful!

I was really surprised by how light tawny is. I had scoured the internet looking for comparisons to bronze skin since I wanted jointed hands for Orrin, my Shoshon. I never really found a decent comparison, but some photos of tawny dolls looked almost like the bronze and others were very light. I know Soom's resin colors can vary greatly from batch to batch, but I thought they sent me a pair of normal skin hands when these arrived.
I just received the DZ body. This body is B60-005 and it’s in Zees Studio NS which is similar to Volks NS. From the actual product, these two bodies look so similar to each other. Volks body has a little bit more pink undertone while DZ body has a little bit more yellow undertone.
The picture is taken indoor while opening the curtain. You can see how the colours look like when they are under the different lights in other pictures.
It’s a special order through one BJD Taobao Authorized Dealer. The shop states that it’s a one-time order that DollZone will accept to produce the special color skin. So I’m not sure that it’s still available to purchase or not.

- Volks NS is produced in 2016 and DZ - Zees Studio/ Volks NS is produced in 2018.

LTF Body is from 2012, Soom Hooves from 2009. You can see below in my first comment that when I first got them they were sliiiightly creamier than the fairyland body. Now it's a pretty stark contrast and this body has mellowed a little.

Someone on DoA asked for a comparison of Resinsoul/Bobobie Fleshtone (normal skin) to Dollzone/Doll Chateau normal pink skin. I was happy to oblige even though the only RS doll I have is from 2011 and she's yellowed at this point. She used to be a lot more pink, but 4 years does make a difference!
Either way, the match isn't far off, probably around 90-95%. I'm betting that if the RS was new from this year the match would be just about perfect.

The new Enoch is a lot smaller than their previous heads. Here's a comparison with a Uranus.

FL NS has more pink undertones.
A quick comparison between my Fariyland MNF Rheia’s tan skin (got her from the company in 2017) and my Harucasting Maji in maji medium tan skin (got from Haru in 2018).

In case anyone was curious to how the various resins look together. Here's a quickie.
Luts Light Tan is the one attached to a doll, as is Aquariusdoll Normal Skin, the lose hands are Withdoll Normal Skin and Brown Tan on the top right.
Withdoll's Brown Tan is a lot more cold in tone that the Luts Light Tan is. AQ and WD's normal skins are also quite different. AQ is more creamy and pale while WD is a pink/peach.
A quick comparison of a Normal skin Soom Rosette head back on a Misty rose Minoruworld Blossom Jr. body (33cm). Fit is great, close is close. The shade is the same, but the headback is a bit pinky/peachier.

Taken in natural light. All my dolls are stored in a dark cabinet away from the sun but some mellowing from age may be present.
(L) Headback from the boy body is yellower than the brand new faceplate. Difference is not very noticable when hands are held to the face etc. (R) Headback and faceplate from 2012 (Ante).

Arm is the FL LTF boy body from 2013. Hand is also from 2013, but somehow seems yellower despite not seeing much daylight.
I just wanted to do a resin comparison of Val and Jazz. Both are from about 2011. Val is normal skin yellow, and Jazz is tan. Both are from Dollzone. I never noticed just how big Val's hands really are.

Yesterday I finally removed the terrible faceup I gave this guy last year. Ugh it was so bad.😣😑 So if you saw my last post, you know that my Venitu (character name unknown..?) is now on Dev’s body, Dev is now on an old mellowed Soom super gem body, and this guy, is on the DollShe Mystic body, and fits it like a dream. Which shocked me, since he has a pretty small neck opening, but his overall head size is really big, so the proportions are good, and the neck moves really well. Now the only issue is matching the yellower tone head to the very pale body, which I will try to do with the faceup. The other two pics show the difference in resin tone. By the way, this is a really old DIM minimee head, I’m not positive of the actor it was sculpted with the likeness of, if anyone has any ideas I’d be curious to hear who he looks like to you. ^_^

I'm not 100% sure what year the Withdoll Brown Tan sample was made. I bought the doll second hand. I'm also not sure of yellowing status, but he definitely doesn't have any abnormal yellowing.
Also, I'm not entire sure if the Fairyland was 2015 or 2016. It's a Sia hand. Either way, it's a very new sample.
