Players are permitted to compete under Covid procedures even if they do not receive a negative test during the next 24 hours, but they are required to remain isolated from the other players.
Before the second Test matchup against the West Indies, Australia’s team was afflicted by Covid-19. On Wednesday, coach Andrew McDonald and all-rounder Cameron Green became the most recent casualties of the illness. After the first Test in Adelaide last week, which the home team won by 10 wickets, they were ill after Travis Head, a batter, contracted Covid. Since then, he has tested negative, and on Thursday, the second day-night Test series involving him will begin in Brisbane.
Green and McDonald are anticipated to participate in the match as well, unless they feel unwell.
Cricket Australia released a statement saying, “Until they return a negative test, Cameron Green and Andrew McDonald will be separated from the group.”
“It will not hinder Green taking part in or McDonald attending the match in line with CA protocols.”
Players who do not receive a negative result within the next 24 hours are still permitted to compete according to Covid protocols, but they must remain isolated from the other players.
Australia will start the encounter unaltered after Usman Khawaja, who was hit in the head late in the Adelaide game, passed concussion tests.
The team’s experience with pink-ball Tests, according to captain Pat Cummins, should work in their favor.

The fact that his squad has experience with pink-ball Tests, according to captain Pat Cummins, could be advantageous.
“No doubt playing a pink-ball Test almost every year, and some Shield cricket over the years with the pink ball, helps us familiarise ourselves … perhaps better than oppositions can, just by experience,” he told the media.

The last five months (May-September 2023) required me to move a lot for a variety of professional and personal reasons. It was the first time in several years that I entered airplanes without carrying my DSLR camera. This resulted in me tinkering and thinking with my mobile phone camera, surpassing my snobbish attitude towards it as means of photographic expression. Visiting an old favourite antique store of mine, I was exposed to wallet-sized black and white pictures, very fashionable in the 1920s-1960s. Phenomenologically, I thought, these little pictures carried significance similar to the one carried by the myriads of photos nowadays stored on mobile phones. I tried to combine the sensory experience of black and white with the ease of mobile phone shooting, itself resembling certain types of pinhole cameras. Themes are the same as in my earlier photography: decayed and rusty patterns of disintegration, emptiness of spaces, outlier figures of the everyday, street signs and letters, nonhuman friends, naturecultures, and psychopolitically haunted scenes. Places include: Canada (Toronto), Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Alonnisos, Aghia, Larissa, Eleftheroupoli, Kavala), Scotland (Edinburgh), England (Manchester), France (Paris), Belgium (Brussels).
[Update] I have continued collecting such images throughout 2024. New places visited: Dublin, Rotterdam, Glasgow, Copenhagen, London, Stirling, Peebles, Amsterdam, Dundee, Madrid.
Sampson has been our buddy since 2004. In the winter of 2008, he suffered a severe perineal hernia that required a $2000 surgery to repair it. At the time of the surgery, we were told that due to the severity of the hernia that it was likely to reoccur. As predicted, it has reoccurred and he desperately needs more surgery. Other than the hernia, he is a happy, healthy and active dog who should live to his mid to late teens. Therefore, I cannot in good conscience end his life prematurely. I have also contacted a Corgi rescue in hopes that he could be adopted to a family that is more financially able to care for him. However, since my husband and I can't have children, giving him up for adoption because of health issues seems as ridiculous to us as giving up our 9 year old child for adoption because we can't keep up with the medical expenses. So please consider donating whatever small amount you can to help keep Sampson with the family that loves him. Sampson, his Corgi buddies Shiloh & Rusty and his human family thank you! Click on the link below to go to Sampson's ChipIn.com page to make your donation. THANK YOU!!

Dynamic simulation analysis requires hourly meteorological data. The problem has been solved referring to one year of hourly data characterizing the climatic trend of a site: but which is the most suitable year? A worldwide known tool is the Test Reference Year (TRY), generated starting from data sets of at least ten years and selecting, for each month, the closest to the long term trend, using statistical data.
The LIFE+ Project ET-IDEA aims to create the first Italian database containing TRYs for the whole national territory. The main output expected is a platform available on-line, containing all the TRYs generated, sortable by location and kind of application.
During the conference, held by NIER Ingegneria and DIENCA researchers, the methodology for the generation of the TRYs will be briefly illustrated, from the collection of meteorological data for the whole italian territory, to the filling of the database created.
Then, the main applications will be presented, in order to show the practical benefits of the TRYs: monitoring of pollutant dispersions in the atmosphere, analyses of wind power plants and photovoltaic plants performances, analyses of the thermic load of buildings and of solar power plants performances.

Larry has lived his whole life near Boston. Nawal has had a little more variety. She is originally from Morocco. The wedding ceremony itself was a combination of American and Christian customs, and Moroccan and Islamic customs. It was fantastic.
The first half of the reception was very Western. American music, American clothes, American customs. About halfway through the evening the Bride and Groom disappeared for a while. When they returned they were wearing traditional Moroccan wedding attire and the entire mood of the night changed to honor Moroccan customs. It was a fantastic experience.
