A Banana Republic housed in a 1910 Beaux Arts-style building that once housed the Raphael Weill & Company dry goods store and known as The White House near Downtown San Francisco.
My Hibiscus plant is starting to flower. I sure wish the flower lasted more than a day, but that one day is sure beautiful:)

Republic Plaza is a skyscraper in Denver, Colorado. Rising 714 feet (218 m), the building currently stands as the tallest building in the city of Denver and the entire Rocky Mountain region of the United States. It was built in 1984, and contains 56 floors, the majority of which are used as office space. Republic Plaza currently stands as the 137th-tallest building in the United States.
Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and built of reinforced concrete clad in Sardinian granite, Republic Plaza includes 1,200,000 square feet (110,000 m2) of office space, and three retail levels containing shops, restaurants, and service businesses. The building has a 3-story marble lobby that features a quarterly "Art in Public Places" program of Colorado and regional artists.
On October 27, 2007, the building's top 20 stories were lit in purple with giant white letters "C" and "R" to celebrate the Colorado Rockies' World Series debut.
The Republic Plaza was built by PCL Construction Services, Inc.
The Republic Plaza is the former home to the American Lung Association in Colorado's "Anthem Fight for Air Climb". Now it is home to the "Mile High Stair Climb", benefitting the American Lung Association in Colorado. Held on the last Sunday of January, the event is a 56-story stair climb to the top of the building with the option of climbing more flights for up to a full vertical mile.

The Republic Monument (Turkish: Cumhuriyet Anıtı) is a notable monument located at Taksim Square in Istanbul, Turkey, to commemorate the formation of the Turkish Republic in 1923.
Designed by Italian sculptor Pietro Canonica and built in two and a half years with financial support from the population, it was unveiled by Dr. Hakkı Şinasi Pasha on August 8, 1928.
The 11 m (36 ft) high monument portrays the founders of the Turkish Republic, with prominent depictions of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, İsmet İnönü and Fevzi Çakmak. The monument has two sides: the side facing north depicts Atatürk in military uniform during the Turkish War of Independence, while the side facing south (towards İstiklal Avenue) has Atatürk and his comrades dressed in modern Western clothing; the former symbolizing his role as military commander-in-chief, and the latter symbolizing his role as statesman.
Semyon Ivanovich Aralov, Ambassador of the Russian SFSR in Ankara during the Turkish War of Independence, is among the group of people behind Atatürk (his figure wears a cap and stands behind İsmet İnönü, on the southern facade of the monument). His presence in the monument, ordered by Atatürk, points out to the financial and military aid sent by Vladimir Lenin in 1920, during the Turkish War of Independence (1919–1922).
Cumhuriyet Anıtı is an important site, where official ceremonies on national holidays are being held.

During my return home during Thanksgiving break, I had an opportunity to railfan for a day in Ohio once again. Having made the 2 hour trek to the buckeye state before sun up, set me up to intercept M212 enroute to Willard,OH with an apparent GP40 on lead. At first I thought this was a hoax, but after catching up to the train just north of Fostoria,OH it was indeed true after all. Here we see CSXT #4411 GP40-2 leading M212 just outside of Republic,OH on its final miles of it journey to Willard.
