Finding Yourself
by Theresa Ann Moore
Of all the people that you may know
There is one who remains an embryo
You will never meet them face to face
Because you are standing in their place
When you stop to think... you will seek
Asking yourself, what makes you unique
As life passes through a continuing turnstile
Identity changes like the shadow of a sundial
When you are asked to describe your being
It is difficult to pinpoint what you are seeing
You see yourself in the eyes of those who look
Scanning their notes in an observation book…
No two chapters will be exactly the same
Each person sees you in a different frame
All that you can find of yourself is a reflection...
A variety of appraisals derived by connection
Within a searching mind, your vision is vast
Someone inside is waiting to be released at last
Finally there is an emergence of your worth
Find your significant self... then experience birth

Here comes the sun in between the pylon as it gloriously manifests itself as day turns into night and earth rotates!!

Its 45 mins after sun up and the sun rays are shinning on the Siemens wind turbine manufacturing plant on the Alexandra Dock Hull.
Siemens have invested £160 million on the plant, from there the turbines are loaded on special ships and transported out to the wind farms being built in the North Sea.
The shot is taken from the viewing area at Barton upon Humber.

Northamptonshire is seemingly the Wind Turbine capital of the UK (for on-shore); these monsters rising out are quite a size and leave a mark on the surrounding landscape.

Back in 2010 an Iowa Northern loaded ethanol train out of Hawkeye Renewable Energy at Butler, IA, heads north towards the DM&E at Nora Springs, IA. Here the train pokes along at 10 mph a couple miles north of Greene. The Iowa Northern gets the DM&E power at Nora Springs and runs it down to the Butler Yard, near Shell Rock, IA. The Iowa Northern then assembled the trains for DM&E and then delivers it back to them at Nora Springs for points east.
As 2018 moves along Soo Line power is becoming less and less common on the CP roster. Soo 6037 became the CP 6301 in June 2017.
Oil rigs / drilling platforms moored in Cromarty Firth.
The Cromarty Firth is an arm of the Moray Firth which separates the Black Isle from Easter Ross. It takes its name from the burgh of Cromarty near the mouth of the firth. The banks of the Cromarty Fiirth are in Cromartyshire and Ross-shire; the main body of Cromartyshire is on the Black Isle on the south shore of the firth but with parts of each shire on either coast.
At Nigg there is an important North Sea oil and renewable energy centre owned by Global Energy Group since 2011. The yard with a dry dock for repairing and fabricating oil platforms, was opened in 1972 as a joint venture between Brown & Root (as it then was) and construction giant George Wimpey. Today the yard is known as Nigg Energy Park.
Elsewhere along the firth are facilities for cruise ships, oil processing, and bulk cargo handling.

Chesterton Windmill is a 17th-century cylindric stone tower windmill with an arched base, located outside the village of Chesterton, Warwickshire. The windmill is one of Warwickshire's most famous landmarks. It stands on a hilltop overlooking the village of Chesterton for nearly 350 years. It is near the Roman Fosse Way and about five miles (8 km) south-east of Warwick. It was built around 1632-1633 and it is built of hard local limestone, with sandstone detailing, on a shallow platform of 71 feet 9 inches (21.87 m) in diameter. The mill tower with a cap height of 36 feet (11 m), unique worldwide in structure and mechanics, is supported on six semicircular arches, on piers, the outer faces of which are arcs of circles radiating from a common centre.
This is a project launched for Bristol's year as European Green Capital. So far I have shown you the Fog Bridge, the Boats in the Woods and now a tree made of solar panels. It's all happening here!
The Energy Tree is a community-led, public art installation and renewable power source designed to engage the public in energy issues. Volunteers from the Bristol Drugs Project, who completed a programme with project-lead Demand Energy Equality, built the solar panel 'leaves' for the tree from scratch and worked with Bristol-based artist John Packer on the metal sculptural work for the tree's structure. It'll also provide free on-the-go phone charging and WIFI.
It is situated in Millennium Square, right next to the Planetarium which makes a great background for this futuristic piece of art!
Shetland has now got a large wind farm, with turbines marching across the hillside. These have only been installed in the last few years. Given how windy the islands are and the UK in general doesn't quite have the rabid anti-windfarm lobby that occurs here I didn't hear much about protesting this. However, I am sure there would be some. Unlike, Iceland where geothermal energy is useful for both heating and electricity generation and is readily available.
This is an AI overview of the Viking Wind Farm "The primary wind turbine farm in the Shetland Islands is the Viking Wind Farm, a 443MW project with 103 turbines, which recently achieved full operational capacity, becoming the UK's most productive wind farm. It harnesses the islands' strong wind resources to generate enough electricity for approximately 500,000 homes and helps support the UK's net-zero targets. Other projects include the Energy Isles Wind Farm, an 18-turbine development on the island of Yell with a capacity of 126MW.
Viking Wind Farm
Capacity: 443 megawatts (MW).
Turbines: 103 turbines.
Output: Can power the equivalent of nearly half a million homes annually.
Significance: Expected to be the UK's most productive onshore wind farm and play a vital role in the country's decarbonization goals.
Status: All turbines were installed by August 2023, and it is now fully operational.
Other Projects
Energy Isles Wind Farm: An 18-turbine development on the island of Yell, with an installed capacity of about 126MW, capable of powering around 157,000 homes.
Shetland's Renewable Energy Future
Onshore and Offshore Potential: Shetland possesses significant wind resources, with plans for further wind farms and the development of tidal and green hydrogen projects, such as the Orion project.
Grid Connection: The construction of the Viking wind farm includes a new undersea cable to export the additional power to the Scottish mainland and beyond, helping to stabilize the grid and connect Shetland to the national grid.
Community Benefits: These projects are designed to retain the benefits of the renewable energy sector within the Shetland community and help reduce reliance on diesel and natural gas. " www.vikingenergy.co.uk/
