Remembering summer.....
I will post another holiday image tomorrow. Even though I came home with over 4,000 photos, I'm not overly fond of many of them, because they seem too touristy to me and it's not my normal type of photography. But I will share them with you, as long as I can post my macro's in between:)
I don't want to brag or make anyone jealous, but....I can still fit into the earrings I wore in high school.

It's been a very long winter here in Snowdonia . This was taken only 3weeks ago up on the Glyders .
..I cannot help but go back to this day which is my favourite times so far.
Whenever I get the opportunity I'm up a mountain somewhere in beautiful Snowdonia. Nothing cleanses the soul better than this.
What a time - Julia Michaels (feat. Niall Horan)
I feel a little nauseous and my hands are shaking
I guess that means you're close by
My throat is getting dry and my heart is racing
I haven't been by your side
In a minute, but I think about it sometimes
Even though I know it's not so distant
Oh, no, I still wanna reminisce it
I think of the night in the park, it was getting dark
And we stayed up for hours
What a time, what a time, what a time
You clinged to my body like you wanted it forever
What a time, what a time, what a time
For you and I
What a time, what a time
For you and I
I know we didn't end it like we're supposed to
And now we get a bit tense
I wonder if my mind just leaves out all the bad parts
I know we didn't make sense
I admit it that I think about it sometimes
Even though I know it's not so distant
Oh, no, I still wanna reminisce it
I think of the night in the park, it was getting dark
And we stayed up for hours
What a time, what a time, what a time
You clinged to my body like you wanted it forever
What a time, what a time, what a time
For you and I
What a time, what a time
For you and I
For you and I
For you and I
For you and I
What a time, what a time for you and I
What a time for you and I, yeah
What a time, what a time for you and I
I think of the night in the park, it was getting dark
And we stayed up for hours
What a lie, what a lie, what a lie
You clinged to my body like you wanted it forever
What a lie, what a lie, what a lie
For you and I
What a lie, what a lie
For you and I
For Macro Mondays - Heart
We have been sorting through some boxes recently in one are a number of letters and notes to me from Di from before we were married - just over 25 years ago.
Di would always put one of these small ( 12 mm ) heart stickers on.

In icy glow, the day awakes,
Cold whispers brush the skies,
The sun ascends, a crystal blaze,
A crisp dawn's lullabies.
It takes a while,
but soon enough you will realize where you are.
She makes me smile
even when not there, thoughts of her not far.

I thought I'd practice some long exposure work. Included in this still life are my great-grandmother's clock from 1915, my grandmother's encyclopedias from the 1930s and a very old decoy that I gave as a gift to my parents.

Never thought we'd get old, maybe we're still young
Maybe we always look back and think it was better than it was
Maybe these are the moments
Maybe I've been missing what it's about
Been scared of the future, thinking about the past
While missing out on now
We've come so far, I guess I'm proud
And I ain't worried about the wrinkles around my smile
I've got some scars, I've been around
I've felt some pain, I've seen some things, but I'm here now
Those good old days
I like telling stories through my decor images. I like to think of an old woman, thinking to her beloved who has passed, and all her keepsakes of that person in a box. Letters and dried flowers and pictures...

And then my soul saw you... And it kind of went, "Oooh.. there you are... I've been looking for you."
I have been on the struggle bus with my photography for over 4-months now and managed to dip into my archives from a trip my wife and I took out to Oregon.
Hoping to snap out of this funk shortly with spring coming.

Okay, embarrassing confession time (we're all friends here, right?)! This shot is from a few years ago, looking through the smoke filled air at the sunset from Boy Scout Camp Meriwether on the Oregon Coast. The confession? I've been at the beach all week with my family, and even had my laptop along, but forgot the card reader for the XQD cards!!! Thus the posting of old shots for now. Looking forward to processing some from this trip to post over the next few weeks...
