The relocation of Isis Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s headquarters to a 12-acre greenfield site included a ground-up steel-framed structure, full tenant improvement build-out, and site improvements throughout the campus. The building shell is a 175,000-sq.-ft., two-story, steel-framed structure, with poured concrete foundations, slab-on grade, and elevated slab on metal deck. The skin consists of a variety of materials including unitized curtain wall, ribbon windows, plaster over metal framing, and mechanically fastened stone veneer. The interior of the building is a mixed-use facility.

The work of constructing a new chapel Margao madel at a cost of around Rs 20 lakhs has been awarded to Race Constructions and is expected to be completed within six months. The new chapel will have 45 sq mts of built up area as against the existing 22 sq mts and will be relocated opposite the existing site on municipal land that has been filled up.

Monday marathon: A new, slightly random, route over to Ewyas Harold, up Rabbit Lane towards Rowlestone, north to Balls Cross, on to Wern Ddu and a meander around Lower Maescoed before dropping back down into Dulas at The Old Trout Inn.
6 hours on mainly roads = tired legs! But a great walk. The Cat’s Back, Hay Bluff and Hatterrall Ridge were almost within touching distance from Wern Ddu.

In Defiance, Missouri, at the home of Daniel Boone, lies this old, relocated gristmill (animal-powered), complete with old fruitwood gears which still turn. We drove to Llanthony Priory and did walk no. 7 "Up to the border" in Kittiwake Books' Walking in the Black Mountains, which entailed taking an easy(ish) diagonal route up onto Hatterrall Hill South, waking north along the ridge and then dropping down steeply back into the Vale of Ewyas and returning to Llantony.
