View On Black...to step into the ultimate dream batch|crib :)...well for me anyway...come on lotto!

Fast Forward about six minutes from yesterday's post and we come to a subject that I try to visit on each trek to the park. The relocated boulders that for some time occupied a spot on the hill where they were surrounded by a bright orange plastic snow fnce. I was so happy when they were moved to their new location.

Rarely do I ever clone things out of a photograph, and when I do it may just be a blade of grass or something minor at the edge of the frame. In this case though I cloned out a couple of my footprints from a previous visit. They were at the lower right hand corner, and were in my opinion both distracting and messed with balance. I am good with that as it does not really alter permanent reality, if that makes sense. The snow will not always be there. If there was say a powerline running through the sky i would never think about removing that as that would be changing the actual scene.

Likely a couple of clicks to the best detail.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you," 1 Peter 1:3-4

I'm in the middle of a front porch remodel. I had to move all the furniture, etc. off before the workers got here yesterday. When I took down the curtains, this little beauty was exposed. This is the creature that keeps my cats entertained (usually in the middle of the night) by jumping onto my bedroom window. When he first came down onto the railing his whole body was dark like his head. This all happened really quickly. Then when he landed on this white railing, he started to turn colors. On the left just his backside and back legs had changed. When I finally got him to the ground on the mulch he was pretty much white all over. God's creation! I think he's relocated somewhere else by now.

From our adventures up north. The Eagle had a fish with no plans to relocate so I took advantage of the photo op.

Another sample shot from the PZ16-50 kit lens. Light was extremely blah here, so I went with the flow and desaturated further by just a wee bit. Two clicks to full view.

I was thrilled to find these boulders in their new location. During late summer I had spoken with a couple of town employees that were doing some bobcat work around the monument boulder area. I mentioned to them how the Hill was the central focal point of the entire park and how the boulders that were stored on the hill looked poor with the bright orange snow fence surrounding them. The fence was placed there so that tobogganers would not crash into the boulders.

Well it took a while, but there is no more bright orange snow fence ruining shots of the hill. I like to think that I had something to do with the relocation. And their new location close to the edge of the pond is great with the hill in the background. No doubt I will be shooting these more in the future, in fact I should have a post coming up within a week.

In the mid-15th century, Bauska castle was built by the Germans of the Livonian Order. A small town called Schildburg grew on the narrow peninsula formed by the Mūsa and Mēmele rivers. Around 1580 by the order of Duke Gotthard Kettler this settlement was relocated to the present location of Bauska Old Town, eventually receiving city rights sometime before 1609.

Tiengemeten is an island in the Dutch province of South Holland.

The name Tiengemeten refers to an ancient area measurement; one gemet is comparable with one acre so the name means ten-acre island. Ten gemets would be about 100 by 400 metres (330 by 1,310 feet), while the island is actually about 7 km (4 mi) long and 2 km (1 mi) wide.

The statistical area "Tiengemeten" had a population of around 10 until 2007. On 10 May 2007, the island was officially allowed to revert to its natural state after its inhabitants were relocated. [Wikipedia]

WEEK 16 – BAM Southaven Relocation: New Store, Set 1

Spinning around, here’s a look over at the new and improved Kids-a-Million. True, no overhead signage this time around, but I’m much more than okay with its replacement! Similar to the music and pop culture sections we’ve already seen, this area features displays in the middle (of games, toys, etc.) flanked by books. Honestly, I don’t think that that general idea of flanking displays with bookshelves is too different from what the old store did, but for some reason it just seems to look that much cooler and cleaner in this brand-new store XD

I can't for the life of me think of a valid reason for this image-it just grew into being. The original photo was taken at Mauthie Lake State Park in the Kettles where I did take a shot of a distance eagle's nest. Photolealeap was used to create this image.

Due to the cancellations in the morning and this unit being relocated, it only made the time this passed even nicer for the weather conditions on such a lovely day too! 05/04/2025.

Digital Photo Manipulation

I don't know how dark this will look on your screens but on mine it looks just right. It is a dark night scene so it is meant to be darker than normal. But sorry if does look too dark on your screens! :)

I am currently trying to catch up on all your streams. I am so far behind! But slowly getting there!

Have a nice weekend!

I just thought I needed to know

when things become skew-whiff

and recollection is on the go

for reality to steal the show, as if!

that solace is found in the comfort of memory

a souvenir footnote at the end of the day

visually situate, that moment no longer allusory

for it's finding is now here to stay!

Key West Cemetery was relocated from Higgs Beach to this site in 1847 after being ravaged by a hurricane the previous year.Over 75000 people are interred here in in-ground and crypt style graves, given the closeness to sea level. Some prominent memorials in the cemetery include those to the Battleship Maine Disaster and one honoring those who served in the 1868 Cuban Revolution.Cultural diversity is in prominent display here as sites range from elaborate markers to simple headstones.

Sunset reflected over partially frozen Lake Dillon, Colorado on May 10, 2008.

Lake Dillon is a mountain reservoir located in Dillon, Summit County, Colorado. It is about 70 miles (110 km) west of downtown Denver along Interstate 70.

Lake Dillon (a.k.a. Dillon Reservoir) is a popular camping destination, located 10 miles (16 km) west of the continental divide. It is also a favorite place for boating and fishing. There are many of shallow areas in the lake and multiple small islands. The elevation of the reservoir is 9,017 feet (2,748 m) above sea level.

Completed in September 1963, Dillon Reservoir is the largest water storage facility in the Denver Water system. The reservoir's capacity is over 250,000 acre feet (310,000,000 m³).

Building the dam required relocating the entire town of Dillon, and a hydroelectric plant to create the pre-existing Lake Dillion. (The former city of Dillion lies at the bottom of Lake Dillion & diving, swimming, water sking are prohibited.) The project diverts water from the Blue River Basin through the Harold D. Roberts Tunnel under the Continental Divide into the South Platte River Basin.

Dillon Dam is an earth-fill dam, 5,888 feet (1,794 m) long by 231 feet (70 m) above the Blue River stream bed. Dillon Reservoir's surface area of 3,233 acres (13 km²) and 26.8 miles (43 km) of shoreline support many recreational activities. (Wikipedia)

Moments after the previously shared image, John D and I relocated to a meadow above the dry meandering Sand Creek, to wait for some post sunset colors. The creek passes diagonally across the mid ground, outlined by several tree species including Oak and Almond. That is the majestic Mount Diablo on the horizon...but you already knew that if you follow my stream.
