Version 2 in the Lake Serene moored boat series on style, mainly colour. 'Style' is basically the manner in which an artist (here, 'photoartist') portrays the subject matter and how the artist expresses her or his vision, through the composition, which includes colour as a key element.
To recall at Lake Serene, 'serenity' is the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled. Lake Serene has been in this state for eons. The boat is a shared community boat for drifting around the lake to enjoy serenity in a gentle floating manner. Floating improves one's serenity by helping with mental and physical wellness through increasing one's relaxation, energy, and rejuvenation.

I had a long walk yesterday. First I watched the waves, then I listened to the soft sound of the reed moved by the wind. The walk was very rejuvenating and refreshing.

Going to Battle River this year helped me heal a bit and allowed me to feel excitement and enthusiasm for the first time since Phil died nearly 6 months ago.

This was shot at the Grange Estate. It was such a warm and welcoming room and reminded me of when you get home at the end of the day or the end of a trip and let your surroundings rejuvenate your soul.

This was her first proper walk in years having found a drug that actually works on her arthritic joints and has given her back her joie de vivre. We're probably only a mile from home here but that distance would have been unthinkable a few months earlier.

Miles and miles of empty beach stretch northward from San Gregorio along the San Mateo County Coastline. I've always loved this special spot along the coast. It contains many fond memories from my younger years. I look at this picture and feel immediate relief from all the calamity that surrounds us these days. I think we all need places like this--natural places that rejuvenate our souls.
I'll be off line for a while as I'm having surgery on my right shoulder this Friday. Peace to all.

I spent a wonderful afternoon at a local gardens where spring was bursting forth in all its glory. It's such a beautiful space, and yet free to enter which seems a very rare and special thing these days.
The sight of people's faces upturned to the welcome sun and their smiles as they encountered some new or beautiful specimen, or listened to birdsong, was every bit as precious as the garden itself.
I feel as though spring has truly sprung and I might have fallen in love with my camera all over again too!

Yokohama is located 30 km southwest of downtown Tokyo. Being the second populous city after Tokyo, it has many faces.
It is a cosmopolitan port city that has led Japan's westernisation. Its old port area with MM21 is a pioneer of waterfront redevelopment and rejuvenation. Sankei'en is something like a predecessor of theme parks and an antithesis of westernised Yokohama. It is also an industrial city that lead Japan's postwar economic development. It includes a few up-scale bed towns for commuters to Tokyo.
Yokohama is included in the Greater Tokyo Area with a total population of 37 million, in which it has been the forerunner.

While I didn’t get any exciting bird pictures on my walk today, I did get excited to see this patch of pure white Hepatica growing from the forest floor. They are one of the first spring flowers to show their faces. These blooms must have just opened up with the recent rains and warm temps we had. They look so fresh. There is lots of decay lying around on the ground after a heavy winter but it is encouraging to see new life bring beauty and hope to the scene.

A photo taken from a cafe on the riverside street over a can of Angkor Beer. Rejuvenation of Kampot seems to be on track finally, but it was a long way. The mountain in the upper right is a slope of Phnom Bokor or Bokor Mountain, on which ruins of a French hill station and a Chinese-run casino hotel are located.
Khmer Rouge was ousted from Phnom Penh and major cities including Kampot by the Vietnamese invasion in 1979. Pro-Vietnamese Heng Samrin (1934 -) administration was installed, and the country was renamed to Peoples’ Republic of Kampuchea.
Hun Sen (1952 -), who speak Vietnamese fluently, had been Prime Minister from 1985 to 1993 under the Hen Samrin administration.
The Vietnamese troop withdrew from Cambodia in 1989, and the United Nations intermediated the peace process that was completed by the election in 1993. Based on the result of election, Sihanouk's son, Norodom Ranariddh (1944 - 2021) became First Prime Minister with Hun Sen as Second Prime Minister. The country was renamed back to Kingdom of Cambodia in 1993 by restoring Norodom Sihanouk as King of the constitutional monarchy.
Hun Sen was not happy with the UN ruling and staged a coup in 1997 to dismantled Ranariddh and came back as Prime Minister in 1998.
Khmer Rouge finally surrendered in 1999 near Preah Vihear, which finally paved the way for Cambodia to concentrate on economic development.
Refúgio Francês stood 120 meters (394 feet) above sea level. From its window wall behind my back, a breathtaking 360-degree panorama unfolded. Lake Nordenskjöld, Cerro Paine Grande, Cerro Ferrier, Mount Tenerife, and the Chacabuco and Balmaceda ranges – all etched themselves forever in my memory.
Patagonia's weather is a fickle beast, yet within the mountain domes's walls, comfort was guaranteed. A cozy bed, a hot shower, and camaraderie with fellow backpackers filled my evening. Freed from the burden of a heavy pack, I could truly embrace the journey, reveling in the constant beauty around me.
Day 2 of the W trek found me sharing stories with fellow travelers over a warm meal and countless pisco sours. Rejuvenated and recharged, I readied myself for the next leg – a challenging 23 km (14 mi) route with a peak elevation of 1,100 meters (3,609 feet). Steeps and descents awaited, but I was ready.
The refuge offered a variety of accommodations: from dome-shaped shelters to fully equipped campsites or even simple platforms. Food service and equipment rentals were also available.
