Incredible sunset the last day before come back home from my trip to Lisbon. Great lucky to take this nice photo.

Increible atardecer justo el ultimo dia antes de regresar de mi viaje a Lisboa. Verdadera suerte de poder llevarme esta bonita toma a casa.

Sin luz se hace difícil regresar aun conociendo cada recodo del camino. Sin luz es fácil equivocarse en los cruces y perderse en un laberinto de decisiones. Sin luz las heridas dolorosas acechan tras cada paso en falso. Sin luz los ojos y la razón creen lo que necesitan creer. Sin luz despiertan perezosamente los otros sentidos. Sin luz no se distinguen los atajos ni las señales.

Es posible no necesitar la luz, si nunca te has perdido.

Without light it is difficult to return even knowing every turn of the road. Without light it is easy to make a mistake at the intersections and get lost in a maze of decisions. Without light, painful wounds lurk behind each misstep. Without light, the eyes and reason believe what they need to believe. Without light all the senses lazily awaken. Without light, you cannot distinguish shortcuts or signs.

It is possible not to need the light, if you have never been lost.

Reichenau, Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland.

Reichenau es una isla habitada situada en el lago de Constanza (Bodensee en alemán), estado federado de Baden-Wurtemberg, Alemania. La isla se encuentra entre los lagos Gnadensee y Untersee y está unida a tierra firme por un puente de 400 metros construido en tiempos de Napoleón. Es la isla más grande de este enorme lago europeo y se encuentra en Alemania, pero por su zona sur frente a la costa Suiza del mismo, a un centenar de metros. Frente a su costa norte se halla la localidad de Radolfzell, y a menos de diez kilómetros, la ciudad de Constanza.

Posee un monasterio benedictino fundado en 724 por Pirminius y secularizado en 1799, que fue el principal foco artístico y literario de la región durante los siglos IX-XI. En el año 2000 el monasterio de Reichenau, así como el resto de las iglesias de la isla, fueron incluidos en el Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco.

La isla aparece documentada desde los tiempos de los romanos. Importantes obras de la literatura alemana, desde la época del Minnesang (cantares de amor), se han encontrado en este monasterio. Algunas de ellas todavía se conservan en su biblioteca y otras en el museo comarcal de Baden.

Tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la mayor parte de la población de Reichenau fue desalojada durante dos meses y medio para que vivieran en ella unos 3000 presos franceses liberados del campo de concentración de Dachau en cuarentena antes de regresar a su país de origen.

Reichenau is an inhabited island located in Lake Constance (Bodensee in German), federal state of Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. The island lies between the Gnadensee and Untersee lakes and is connected to the mainland by a 400-meter bridge built in Napoleon's time. It is the largest island in this huge European lake and is located in Germany, but in its southern area off the Swiss coast, a hundred meters away. Facing its north coast is the town of Radolfzell, and less than ten kilometers away, the city of Constance.

It has a Benedictine monastery founded in 724 by Pirminius and secularized in 1799, which was the main artistic and literary focus of the region during the 9th-11th centuries. In the year 2000 the Reichenau monastery, as well as the rest of the churches on the island, were included in the World Heritage Site by Unesco.

The island appears documented from the times of the Romans. Important works of German literature, from the time of the Minnesang (love songs), have been found in this monastery. Some of them are still kept in his library and others in the Baden county museum.

After World War II, most of the population of Reichenau was evicted for two and a half months so that some 3,000 French prisoners released from the Dachau concentration camp under quarantine lived there before returning to their country of origin.

The beauty of night photography!

This image was taken at 12:50am. The night was clear, cold and crisp. While here, I had to have all my senses heightened, as there was a sign at the entrance to the lodge, alerting visitors to be aware of bears. Looking back now, maybe it wasn't the most sane thing to do, but the persistence to capture this image, won me over. At the moment, all I could see was the moon bathing the lake, with this beautiful light. I took a couple of sequences and headed to safety, back to the car.

La belleza de la fotografía nocturna!

Esta imagen fue tomada a las 12:50am. La noche estaba fría, clara y diáfana. A la entrada del camino nos encontramos con un letrero, alertando que había un oso en el area. Con los sentidos en alerta, nos atrevimos entrar y caminar hasta este rincón. La escena era tan bella, con la luna iluminando el paisaje. La persistencia por alcanzar esta imagen, nos dio el valor para quedarnos. Hicimos algunas secuencias con la mas brevedad posible, antes de regresar a nuestro sitio seguro, que nos esperaba en el carro.

The Belem tower is a defensive tower built in the 16th century at the mouth of the Tagus River. It is built in a style called Manueline or Late Gothic very elaborate and ornate.

Once its defensive function ended, it served many other purposes. It was used as a prison, as a lighthouse and also as a tax collection center to enter the city, warehouse and now, as a tourist attraction. One of the most visited in Portugal along with the monastery of Los Jerónimos.

The influx was so great that when I got to the front row to do the photography, I thought of doing another from another angle, but I was already insistently demanded to return to the bus that was taking us. It's not that this is the best, it's the only one I managed to do. Good thing it went well.

As for editing, I have tried to give relevance to the tower without touching anything of the rest since it does not seem important to me.

I hope you will be benevolent with me, since it is one of the most photographed monuments in the world.

La torre de Belem es una torre defensiva construida en el siglo 16 en la desembocadura del rio Tajo. Esta construida en un estilo llamado Manuelino o gótico tardío muy elaborado y ornamentado.

Una vez terminada su función defensiva, sirvió para muchos otros menesteres. Se utilizó como prisión, como faro y también como centro de recaudación de impuestos para ingresar a la ciudad, almacén y en la actualidad, como reclamo turístico. Uno de los más visitados en toda Portugal junto con el monasterio de Los Jerónimos.

Es tanta la afluencia, que cuando conseguí llegar a codazos a primera fila para hacer la fotografía, pensé en hacer otra desde otro ángulo, pero ya fui reclamado insistentemente para regresar al bus que nos llevaba. No es que sea la mejor, es la única que logré hacer. Menos mal que salió bien.

En cuanto a la edición, he tratado de darle relevancia a la torre sin tocar nada del resto ya que no me parece importante.

Espero que seáis benévolos conmigo, ya que se trata de uno de los monumentos más fotografiados del mundo.

Ruta de las tres cascadas de Ardonés

La cascada de Ardonés, también conocida como cascada del Bom, es uno de los rincones más bonitos del entorno de Cerler. Su proximidad, fácil acceso y belleza, hacen de este lugar parada prácticamente obligatoria para todos los que visiten esta zona.

Desde Cerler tomamos la carretera en dirección a la Estación de Cerler. Cuando llevamos aproximadamente unos 4,5 kilómetros recorridos llegamos hasta el cruce de la carretera con el barranco del Ampriu, que es salvado por un pequeño puente. Siguiendo por la carretera unos 600 metros más adelante llegamos a una curva muy cerrada con una pequeña explanada a su izquierda, desde la cual parte un camino o pista el cual tomaremos. Podemos dejar el coche en este punto y continuar a pie por la pista durante 1 kilómetro (10-15 minutos) o bién seguir en coche hasta el final de la misma donde lo estacionaremos para seguir a pié por una senda que parte a nuestra derecha y que en unos 600 metros (5-10 minutos) nos dejará a los piés de la cascada.

A los pies de la cascada existe un pequeño puente el cual, si no baja mucho caudal por el barranco, podremos atravesar y continuar por la senda que discurre por la cara opuesta del barranco y que más adelante atraviesa el Barranco del Clotet. Desde este punto podemos regresar por donde hemos venido o bien continuar por esta senda hasta alcanzar más adelante otro sendero que desciende hasta el fondo del barranco de Ardones, donde existe un pequeño puente que nos permitirá cruzar el barranco y continuar por la senda que termina en el final de la pista por la que hemos venido completando así un pequeño recorrido circular de aproximadamente 1,5 km en unos 25 minutos. Desde aquí regresaremos a pié por la pista hasta llegar a la carretera en unos 15 minutos.

Route of the Three Ardonés Waterfalls

The Ardonés waterfall, also known as the Bom waterfall, is one of the most beautiful spots in the Cerler area. Its proximity, easy access, and beauty make this a must-see for anyone visiting this area.

☄ On a beach in Mendocino, California, USA. Mendocino is located in the county of the same name, 270 kilometers north of San Francisco, on the Pacific coast. Travel Story - On a trip to California I accidentally broke my guitar neck, the one that my girlfriend is holding in this scene. So I used the polishing cloth to tie the neck with the keys ... fortunately it worked and I was able to continue playing the rest of the trip. Returning from the trip, a luthier repaired the instrument and made it even stronger than before.

☄ En una playa en Mendocino, California, USA. Mendocino se encuentra en el condado del mismo nombre, a 270 kilómetros al norte de San Francisco, en la costa del Pacífico. Historia de viaje: en un viaje a California, accidentalmente me rompí el cuello de la guitarra, el que mi compañera tiene en esta escena. Así que utilicé el paño de pulido para atar el extremo del mango con las llaves ... afortunadamente funcionó y pude continuar tocando con mi instrumento el resto del viaje. Al regresar del viaje, un luthier reparó el instrumento y lo hizo aún más fuerte que antes.

Histoire de voyage - Lors d’un voyage en Californie, j’ai accidentellement cassé le manche de ma guitare, celle que ma compagne tient dans cette scène. J'ai donc utilisé le chiffon de polissage pour attacher le bout du manche avec les clés ... heureusement, cela a fonctionné et j'ai pu continuer à jouer avec mon instrument le reste du voyage. De retour de voyage, un luthier a réparé l'instrument et l'a rendu encore plus fort qu'auparavant.

This memorial is dedicated to all those who died in the city of Granollers because of the air raids during the Spanish Civil War. One of those took place on the 31st May 1938 and caused 224 civilian casualties.

My great-grandfather had an appointment to the dentist on that day. A man, who was also waiting in the dental clinic, asked him if he could go first. He didn’t want to miss the bus to return to his town. My great-grandfather accepted and waited for a bit longer. Shortly after the other man departed, the air raid started. He always said that he wouldn’t have survived if he hadn’t agreed to lose his turn.

Este monumento está dedicado a todas las personas que fallecieron en la población de Granollers a causa de los bombardeos aéreos durante la Guerra civil española. Una de ellos tuvo lugar el 31 de mayo de 1938, el cual dejó un balance de 224 víctimas mortales.

Mi bisabuelo tenía una cita ese día en el dentista. Otro hombre, que estaba también esperando en la clínica dental, le pidió si podía pasar antes que él porque tenía miedo de perder el autobús para regresar a su pueblo. Mi bisabuelo aceptó y se quedó ahí por más tiempo. Poco después de que el otro hombre se marchara, el bombardeo aéreo empezó. Él siempre dijo que no habría sobrevivido de no haber cedido su turno.

There is a small bridge that allows us to cross the ravine and continue along the path that ends at the end of the track we have been following, completing a short circular route of approximately 1.5 km in about 25 minutes. From here we will walk back along the track until we reach the road in about 15 minutes.

Ruta de las tres cascadas de Ardonés

La cascada de Ardonés, también conocida como cascada del Bom, es uno de los rincones más bonitos del entorno de Cerler. Su proximidad, fácil acceso y belleza, hacen de este lugar parada prácticamente obligatoria para todos los que visiten esta zona.

Desde Cerler tomamos la carretera en dirección a la Estación de Cerler. Cuando llevamos aproximadamente unos 4,5 kilómetros recorridos llegamos hasta el cruce de la carretera con el barranco del Ampriu, que es salvado por un pequeño puente. Siguiendo por la carretera unos 600 metros más adelante llegamos a una curva muy cerrada con una pequeña explanada a su izquierda, desde la cual parte un camino o pista el cual tomaremos. Podemos dejar el coche en este punto y continuar a pie por la pista durante 1 kilómetro (10-15 minutos) o bién seguir en coche hasta el final de la misma donde lo estacionaremos para seguir a pié por una senda que parte a nuestra derecha y que en unos 600 metros (5-10 minutos) nos dejará a los piés de la cascada.

A los pies de la cascada existe un pequeño puente el cual, si no baja mucho caudal por el barranco, podremos atravesar y continuar por la senda que discurre por la cara opuesta del barranco y que más adelante atraviesa el Barranco del Clotet. Desde este punto podemos regresar por donde hemos venido o bien continuar por esta senda hasta alcanzar más adelante otro sendero que desciende hasta el fondo del barranco de Ardones, donde existe un pequeño puente que nos permitirá cruzar el barranco y continuar por la senda que termina en el final de la pista por la que hemos venido completando así un pequeño recorrido circular de aproximadamente 1,5 km en unos 25 minutos. Desde aquí regresaremos a pié por la pista hasta llegar a la carretera en unos 15 minutos.

Route of the Three Ardonés Waterfalls

The Ardonés waterfall, also known as the Bom waterfall, is one of the most beautiful spots in the Cerler area. Its proximity, easy access, and beauty make this a must-see for anyone visiting this area.

From Cerler, we take the road toward Cerler Station. After approximately 4.5 kilometers, we reach the intersection of the road and the Ampriu ravine, which we cross over a small bridge. Continuing along the road for about 600 meters, we reach a sharp bend with a small esplanade on the left, from which a path or track leads off, which we take. We can leave the car at this point and continue on foot along the track for 1 kilometer (10-15 minutes), or we can continue by car to the end of the track, where we will park and continue on foot along a path that branches off to our right and, in about 600 meters (5-10 minutes), will take us to the foot of the waterfall.

At the foot of the waterfall, there is a small bridge. If the water level in the ravine is low, we can cross it and continue along the path that runs along the opposite side of the ravine and further on crosses the Clotet Ravine. From this point, we can return the way we came or continue along this path until we reach another trail that descends to the bottom of the Ardones Ravine.
