The Zollverein colliery, also known as the "Eiffel Tower of the Ruhr area", was a hard coal mine in Essen that was active from 1851 to 1986. It was named after the German Customs Union founded in 1834. Today it is an architectural and industrial monument. Together with the immediately adjacent Zollverein coking plant, shafts 12 and 1/2/8 of the colliery have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2001. Zollverein is the anchor point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage and the location of various cultural institutions as well as the Folkwang University of the Arts.
For "smile on saturday" and
"reflection on black"!
This is my first attempt to shoot reflection on a black background. I spent a lot of time on this task, but mostly cleaning up black smooth and shiny surfaces and mirrors. Even the dust dropped from the feather, so at the end I had to remove those tiny dust particles in Lightroom.
Have a great day and thank you for visiting,

Église Saint-Séverin. One of the less visited. but to me one of the most beautiful churches in Paris, wish I had more time to spend few hrs. as the sun changes reflects though such mesmerizing stained glass art. Spent more time just in awe at this medieval house of our lord.
The beautiful rustic reds of the leaves and their shimmering reflection on the lake , a wonderful autumnal scene .

Kneeling before the mirror
Clothing, positioning - the aim of course to be pleasing
The reflection… simply what is His
. . . but . . .
The mirror can not show what's inside the girl ...
excitable bursts of creativity, passion and energy
smothering ...covering up the dark recesses of depravity ...
she tries so very hard to keep them locked away.
A tender soul ...
rejoicing in her service to others . . .
Balance
and the little girl...
hidden . . . deep down inside
or maybe . . . lost
This is a snapshot, photographed in RAW format to see how far can a cellphone go in post process, and its amazing for a smartphone, not even close to a DSLR, but it delivers great image quality.. Thanks :)
Using a portable makeup mirror and placing my golden pink bear (keychain) to create reflections.
Can be done better if I stay out of the reflection as you can see my hand and camera.
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Bristol, Maine. While walking out along the rock formations and cliffs of Pemaquid, we ran across this tidal pool and almost a mirror image of the light and bell tower and the bell house. I think this lighthouse really captures the essence of the Maine coast.
