Something a bit different from a session at NPH Droitwich yesterday. If only the shot had been taken about 1 ms earlier!
Boxtel is a small town, but its big church shows that it was an important place once. Just outside the town you'll find a park in which lies this castle, Kasteel Stapelen. The entire complex was given a new look in early neo-Gothic style in 1857-1858, to fit the then popular ideas about what a medieval castle should look like. Towers were heightened, the facade of the chapel was renewed and countless battlements were added to places where there never had been any. Since 1915 the castle has been used as a monastery. In the Middle Ages a miracle occured here which is still celebrated each year with a big procession.

Llyn Crafnant is a lake that lies in a valley in Wales where the northern edge of the Gwydir Forest meets the lower slopes of the Carneddau mountains and, more specifically, the ridge of Cefn Cyfarwydd. The head of the valley offers a profile of crags which are silhouetted at sunset.
It was a grey and overcast day and the beautiful gardens at NT Sheffield Park were dormant in their Winter state.
In Spring the gardens come to life with wonderful bursts of colour with daffodils, bluebells and then follow the Rhododendrons and Acers.
Until then I'm happy to capture the Winter beauty in the surface of one of the lakes in the Capability Brown designed gardens.
Aberdyfi, one of Southern Snowdonia's most attractive coastal villages, stands in a stunning location where mountains meet the sea at the mouth of the River Dyfi.
Aberdyfi used to be a working port but today the sailing craft concentrate on leisure and pleasure. Aberdyfi is a busy sailing and watersports centre.
The arrival of the railway in 1864 signalled the beginning of the end for shipping and shipbuilding. By 1905 only one locally built ship remained, The railway opened up a new part of Aberdovey’s history, that of tourism,
The tombs are located on the southern hillside of the 272 m-high Mount Harşena, just to the north of the city Amasya and the river Yeşilırmak.
