This REDCODE workflow is sweet. I'm loving it so much that I'll be away from FCP until FCS3 is released. The R3D native wrapper plugin for FCP sucks compared to this. This CS 4.1 update was a 600MB download on the Mac Pro and about a 597MB download on the 17" MBP. Since installing CS4 I think I've downloaded about 2GB's of updates... lol. Don't know why these updates are so huge. At least they bring great functionality tot he software. Adobe CS 4.1 is now the easiest workflow for RED footage. Now get realtime playback of RED footage at 2K/Half Res.

Messing around with Workflow 3 in the RED FCS3 Whitepaper: Work Offline Using ProRes; Reconform to Native REDCODE Media Using Cinema Tools and Color
This workflow describes transcoding to one of the Apple ProRes codecs for efficient
offline editing, then exporting your edited sequence to Color via an Edit Decision List
(EDL), and relinking it to the original archived REDCODE media using a Cinema Tools
database. This workflow is ideal for programs that are not effects-intensive.
