"Only we humans makes waste that nature can't digest."

-Charles Moore

Thank you very much for your kind comments and visit, much appreciated!

they are all made of recycled newspaper. The technique is to create straws with the sheets of paper that will be the basis of the weave.

Have you ever thought about how many tons of paper are used and end up in the bins, inexorably turning into waste? Only a small part is used to generate recycled paper.

Here, creative recycling is a way not only to help the environment personally, but to raise awareness among others on the importance of reducing waste and consumption.

At the end of an airliners lifecycle they dont just get left to rot.

All reuseable parts are either removed for reuse in other airliners, or rempved and repurposed in a multitude of ways, then the remainer is recycled in an envirenmentally manner, nothing escapes the process.

Here G-CIVN awaits her final fate, I believe the cockpit section is being salvaged for reuse, this is the last of the British Airways B747's delivered to Kemble for recycling.

My Daughter has been Felting, .....That is recycling old wool, and creating various Gifts, this one was for her Mother.

Have you still got your old Christmas tree hanging around shedding needles everywhere? Do what I’m doing, strap it to the top of your car and take it to the tip for recycling. However, don’t use an old banger of a car like mine which has broken down in Fris’land and probably needs recycling itself! Today’s post post features a cute exercise outfit from Vinyl available at Collabor88, the second of the new VIP hairs from Truth and the first update for the new Bento head from Lelutka – I love this head!!

What do you do with an old copper bowl that has a hole in it? Some people might fix the hole.

Or, you can make the hole bigger and turn it into a small sink.

The Third ‘R’ – Recycling

The last stage of the waste hierarchy is to recycle.

To recycle something means that it will be transformed again into a raw material that can be shaped into a new item.

Recycled in the sense that I have used an old shot and re-edited.

I just love this old truck.

She is so beautiful.

Our next door neighbour is always popular after a fishing trip.

Just for the record, to keep some of the instinctive feeding behaviour for these birds, their food is hidden in boxes and cups etc. I can't remember the name of this beautiful bird though!

I had to share this with you, our garbage/rubbish yard collectors have a sense of humour! Our garbage cans stick together when stacked normally, so we have a sign "Do Not Stack". It worked. You have got to love it! :-)

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo❤️

Hooded vultures taken in Masai Mara, Kenya. International Vulture Awareness Day, 3rd September 2022.

It is suspected that this species is currently undergoing an extremely rapid population reduction owing to indiscriminate poisoning, trade for traditional medicine, hunting for food, persecution and electrocution, as well as habitat loss and degradation.

Wildlife poachers sometimes poison vultures because their presence in the skies near animal corpses can alert rangers to their illegal activities.

Because many species of vultures are social, vultures are highly affected by poisoning.

Over a hundred birds can be killed at just one poisoned carcass.

Vultures are the ultimate recyclers. They can strip a carcass in just a few hours.

They keep our environment clean and disease-free.

Many thanks for your visit, comments, invites and faves..it is always appreciated..

Peaceful Sunday

Many of you will know I used to be a waste manager in my former life and scenes like this are always going to pique my interest. This is in a street close to where I live

Two of the tug boats owned by Cory, moored at their depot in Charlton and seen from across the river in Silvertown. The grey wall behind belongs to a Sainsbury's supermarket distribution centre.

The tugs tow waste materials along the river in massive barges to a recycling plant in Belvedere.

For 120 pictures in 2020 #111 "Upcycled", This garden ornament is made from recycled scrap metal. It is fairly old and in desperate need of repainting, but it still stands ready to remove garden pests from our plants (this is an aloe vera our neighbor gave us - still need to make a proper garden plot for it).
