One might think that my photography is a bit overloaded with work from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.
Well......it is.
Truth be told, there is little reason for me to travel too far away, when I have so much left to see in my own backyard. Since I was very young, my time here has been a blessing and there is still so much to take in and be a part of. Photography, hiking with family and friends, and unique discoveries are the only reasons I need to continue my personal journey. There is no other place in the continental United States that can offer the full diversity of the Olympic Peninsula. We get the benefits of the Pacific Ocean, tall mountains with untouched valleys spread out as far as the eye can see, glaciers, pristine old growth rain forests, unspoiled rivers and creeks and abundant wildlife everywhere.
With all of that being said, the joy of Flickr for me is seeing the diversity from others. From you! I truly get to see other parts of the big old world via this amazing site and for that I am grateful.
The only mandate that I impose upon myself is seeking out some measure of satisfaction through solitude and exploration. There is an essence regarding all of this that is hard for me to fully quantify. I have passion to see, I have the heart to be a part of, and I fully appreciate these bountiful gifts.
