I'm heading off with my camera gear to recharge and create some new images, so this image of two deer fawns(taken in Central Ontario) will be my last image for a while.

Decided to head up Little Cottonwood Canyon again before hitting the road Wednesday. This time I went later, so no filters needed. Climbed down amongst the bolders, found my perch, and began taking pictures, feeling renewed and excited, like the energy from the stream was rushing into my body, left exhilarated and relaxed. I love this place.

After the Ascent, recharging at Mount Sinai. A Resting Place for Wandering Souls
A striking moment of rest against a backdrop of ancient history, in a rugged, sun-drenched landscape.

Spotted Dove (Streptopelia chinensis)
Having taken a couple of shots of the Hobby <<< I noticed this Dove on the power line from the pole to our house.

Days have been exhausting lately. Busy days at work, the at home “to-do” list just keeps getting longer and nothing ever seems to get crossed off it. My computer hard drive died, and along with it at least 2 years worth of photos I hadn’t backed up. I’m seriously missing Covid quarantine days ( oh yeah, add that to the list too… I had Covid last month) I was happy to see the first frost this morning, telling me that winter is coming. Although I miss the daylight, I do enjoy not feeling guilty about just coming home from work and immediately changing into pajamas and going to bed early. I need recharging!
With last night’s frost, this may be one of the last bouquets of flowers for the year ( besides the store bought ones, that aren’t nearly as much fun). A friend gave them to me at work gif my birthday. I thought they deserved their own photo shoot!

We’re standing at the top of a hill on the edge of the San Luis Reservoir. The rains have left the slopes a verdant green and the reservoir completely full of water.
Water supplies are not all about reservoirs, though. Ground water recharging, especially in the Central Valley, has an increasingly high profile these days. It’s easier and cheaper to redirect excess water to percolation areas and pump it back up when necessary.
Anyone's life truly lived consists of work, sunshine, exercise, soap, plenty of fresh air, and a happy contented spirit.
