I think they were wondering who came to the zoo with a camera so late in such gloomy weather

ich glaube, die wunderten sich wer bei so einem trüben Wetter, so spät mit Kamera in den Zoo kommt
I liked the effect on this photo, I think I got shy in the past year and just tried to tone down the photos.
I dont have that much time to edit them, but I lost some practice in the way, and creativity, since, well, work. I probably got lucky while editing this one and also remembered to use the point controls from Nik tools. I like the end result.

The (no longer in use) reception building of the Bosdrift Cemetery in Hilversum is a national monument.
The cemetery was opened in 1890.
The building, iron gates and fences were designed by the Dutch architect Pieter Andriessen in 1889.
The cemetery was designed, also in 1889, by Leonard Anthony Springer, one of the most important garden and landscape architect in the Netherlands.

I keep meaning to share this one, but just haven't. I took it nearly three years ago (I have a huge and varied backlog).
This is a pano of a scene in Douglas County, Washington. All of this is, very sadly, private land. It's not farmable or really even grazable, but it's private and off limits. I'd love to see that change someday, and maybe it will.
The landscape was formed by glacial activity during the last ice age. The hill is likely glacial till, while the boulders were either carried by the ice or possibly encased in iceberg and rafted to where they now rest.
Most of the boulders are basalt, though there is probably a bit of granite in there too. Without trespassing or permission, it's hard to tell what is what.

The wedding reception was held at a gazebo not too far from the chapel. It was a lovely spot with lots of trees and flowers.
This is from my last trip out, I had problems getting reception. Standing on this boulder I finally got enough reception to send a text, and check the latest aurora forecast. Remember you are always welcome to drop by my Facebook page for more pictures. www.facebook.com/GauteFroysteinPhotography

So this night, we were at our Cousin's wedding reception and went to the bathroom, heard another reception's music. & we were like, dude...you're music is better than ours! So this girl comes out, we thought she was going to yell at us. But no! She says, "hey girls...since you like our music, come in and dance! the bride and groom already left, don't worry about it! I know the bride's mom!" Haha, so we danced in that reception for like an hour with random people!

After the wedding, we just exited from the fuzz and sat down.
Drank champagne whilst reading messages from friends and family far away.

An image taken at Pengam Junction on a Saturday morning in May 1990, where the 6C85 07:10 MGR empties from Aberthaw Reception Sidings was snaking its way into the No. 2 reception line adjacent to the Freightliner terminal. BR 37897 would then complete a run round and then deliver the hoppers to Cardiff Tidal Sidings, from where they would be moved to Cardiff Docks for loading.

it is the intersection of the main gate before State Guest House. But it has been named "Yotsuya High School". I liked the sense of the person named.

Walking across the works car park after another soggy day. I paused by a big puddle for a quick pic of the reception building. The old car on display is Le Zebre Type Z, designed entirely by Ricardo in the mid 1920s.

Composite pictures taken at the Encore Casino in Everett, Ma. The sky, flowers, and refelcted background was there but not like this. And the bride and groom just wandered into my picture,

Minffordd Cottage Hospital is a small isolation hospital built in the aftermath of the 1882 Bangor typhoid epidemic. There were a total of 42 fatalities, and source was eventually found to be bacteria transferred in water and milk from a local farm, situated above Bangor's water supply.
The hospital was finally abandoned in 2009, having functioned as a hospital for the mentally infirm in its final years.
These photographs, taken in April 2017, showcase the buildings as they stand today.
Inspiration for the framing of the shots came from the 1975 New Topographics exhibition.
