All good things come to an end! This was the view from the bow of the ship as we sailed back southward through the iInside Passage from the Arctic Circle to Bergen.
The trip was everything I had hoed it would be. The only regret was that I could have seen the last couple of spectacular Aurora displays whilst we were on land. I've got so many beautiful images of the shapes and moving curtains of the Northern Lights that I taken deck and whilst they are decent images they are not as tack sharp's the ones I took on shore.
Here's Mr. Drake mesmerized by the Autumn reflections in the creek, not knowing I was taking his photo.
Just caught this going by my car window the other day.

I need a Wednesday road trip. Maybe buy me some trinkets at a flea market.

Back side of old store, Omaha Arkansas,
I believe that this is the original general store
and Post Office building, built about 1873.
This would make it one of the oldest structures
on the area. Upon verification, would be eligible
for the National Register of Historic Places.

Another ‘classic’ angle from the ‘City of Arts and Sciences’ in València, this time the rear, or is it the front, of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia (Queen Sofia) building, which is a theatre complex used for Opera, and many other types of performances. It is a stunning design and depending from the angle you view it, looks either like an alien space craft, or a motorcycle helmet. On the evening I shot this the premiere of a new opera was to be performed, and so the building was fully illuminated.
With some cloud cover I opted for a long exposure, 30 seconds, in order to get some movement from the clouds, and also to mask out people walking in front of me. Though I had to wait some time before I could actually take the shot as there were a group of people busy taking photos of themselves, and so not moving very much; but hey ho.
