The Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine lies a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean, on Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades, California. It was founded and dedicated by Paramahansa Yogananda, on August 20, 1950.
I shot a storefront of mannequins although the lighting made it difficult. I wanted to focus on the one raising its arm for its expression (too brightly lit) but then found the sitting one so much more interesting during post production.
this is part of a series about the process of layers and movement in relation to self. This one is about realizing that the layers exist and that they are apart of you and they are connected through motion[life]

I tend to walk with my head up but in the clouds.
It's a carefree life to be an observer, and observing with an eye and listening with an ear and attention to detail is a gift. Recording and reporting observations is also an important role.
What a stretch it is for the diligent observer to step into the game and try a hand at it.

Our own self-realization is the best service we could render the entire world. I really do believe in God. The harder the battle, the more glorious the victory. I used to believe divorce intended failure, but today I see it as a step along the course of self-realization and expansion.
