I've been wanting to do this with my books for a while now, but decided to start with just a small section in the toyroom instead. My boys thought it was cool. Wanna bet how long it stays like this?

time for some more lensbaby alice? ;-)

Reading (while the last rays of sunlight are shining in the room) the wonderful book of Hilary Mantel: "Wolf Hall".

As you can see, there is not much to read... I am still trying to catch up. But I really wanted to show you this book. When I was in DC, there was an exhibition of Herblock's political cartoons. Amazing person, amazing drawings. You can pretty much study American history by looking at them. Recently they published a new book which includes a dvd with 18,000 cartoons. I loooooooove them!

A couple from Bristol's Central Library on College Green. I have only recently come to realise that this beautiful old fashioned reading room exists upstairs, after many years of visiting the duller ground floor. The spiral staircases up to the next level were, sadly, closed off, I would have loved to explore up there!

Ok, not really random this one- a friend of mine.

I love reading, and seeing others immersed in a book brings me so much joy. I recently came across Steve McCurry's book featuring photos of people reading, and it reminded me of all the moments I’ve captured of readers. Here’s one of them.

Finally a day without rain or snow or frigid temperatures! Not only that I was able to actually bike to this spot instead of hike, felt so good to zoom through the forest trails again! Man, I love spring and summer!

Hope you're all having an awesome monday!

After finishing up at Yuengling 2532 goes around the Pottsville leg of the wye on the way home to West Cressona.

Continuing in my subject/slideshow fashion we'll take a look at the R&N around Pottsvile. They serve what I think is still a team track and 2 Yuengling breweries around town. The Pottsville Branch from Port Clinton ends at Pottsville Junction, a switch which is probably technically in Mount Carbon. There is about a half mile spur from there north towards downtown Pottsville while the Middleport Runner (the former Passenger Main as this was from Port Clinton to Tamaqua) goes about 10 or 12 miles to Middleport. About 2 miles up the runner past Pottsville Junction is Mill Creek Junction and the connection(s) with the Saint Clair Runner to Yuengling's brewery at the south end of the old Reading Co. St. Clair yard in Port Carbon. The track to this brewery had been abandoned but was put back in in 2002, a great opportunity as the arch bridges you'll see in this sequence are on the wyes of Mill Creek Junction which was the relaid track.

Two of Reading and Northern's RDC Budd cars swing south through Landingville, PA, running from Pottsville to Jim Thorpe.
