The dogwood tree in our yard is so tall, and the flowers are all at the top of the tree, so I had to use my long lens to capture them.
Vestrahorn is one of the most photographed mountains on the Island. Located on the Stokksnes peninsula, its steep slopes reaching a flat lagoon, small black sand dunes and tall grasses create a natural wonder.

A rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae. There are over three hundred species and thousands of cultivars. They form a group of plants that can be erect shrubs, climbing, or trailing, with stems that are often armed with sharp prickles. Flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and showy, in colours ranging from white through yellows and reds. Most species are native to Asia, with smaller numbers native to Europe, North America, and northwestern Africa. Species, cultivars and hybrids are all widely grown for their beauty and often are fragrant. Roses have acquired cultural significance in many societies. Rose plants range in size from compact, miniature roses, to climbers that can reach seven meters in height. Different species hybridize easily, and this has been used in the development of the wide range of garden roses. 47874
The weather was shower off and on with sun breaks, so yesterday, I shot in our yard. Fortunately, the birds responded well to each sun break, becoming quite active during each. This Townsend's warbler made repeated visits to our plum blossoms, affording multiple occasions to capture him. This specific move was repeated a few times: perching on a branch, then fluttering to reach for another, but returning to the perched position on the original.
A wonderfully clear day with scudding clouds flying along on a brisk wind. Combine that with a mirror like expanse of beach and they are my perfect conditions for lifting the gloom of dreary days. Loneliness was never as much fun. Reaching is by Jeffrey Lewis. It was just a question of waiting for the clouds to reach me.
