Algunos años la primavera desciende bruscamente sobre Sukorova. De pronto las ramas quedan cubiertas de flores, y los pájaros, las abejas, los escarabajos y la hierba conquistan el mundo. Un sol templado invade la naturaleza. Lobos y aves, serpientes y hormigas, todas las criaturas salen de sus madrigueras. Sorprendidas y afanosas, recorren la blanda tierra inmersas en la alegría de encontrarse en un mundo nuevo, recién creado. Las blancas nubes que se alzan poco a poco en cúmulos sobre el mediterráneo se dirigen hacia las estribaciones del Taurus proyectando sobre el valle sombras oscuras. De repente, sin que se sepa de dónde vienen, se desatan las lluvias torrenciales. Los ríos se desbordan y las aguas fluyen hacia el mediterráneo a una velocidad de locura. A su paso siembran las tierras de arcilla ocre y tiñen de rojo las aguas azules. Entre los abruptos roquedales morados se abren las resplandecientes flores del azafrán, y las montañas se convierten en un inmenso jardín tranquilo de color amarillo intenso, arrullado por el olor de una y mil flores. En lo más hondo de la espesura suena, incesante, el canto del francolín. Cuando la primavera estalla tan de improviso, la gente del valle espera la aparición de las esbeltas gacelas color alheña. Antiguamente, con la llegada de la primavera, miles de gacelas procedentes del desierto invadían el valle. Extendiéndose como un incendio corrían en manadas desde Anavarza hasta la parte baja de Kozan, de allí a la llanura del Tarso, a las tierras de Yüregir y luego a Payas, a la parte baja de Osmaniye y a Dumlu. Y la gente de Sukorova ponía a prueba sus caballos persiguiéndolas: el primero en dar alcance a una gacela era el corcel más noble. Los caballos grises de Sukorova eran de una raza famosa desde tiempos de los asirios.

Huge cultural figures as diverse as George Harrison, Philip Glass and Yehudi Menuhin all worked with him, learned from him and were profoundly affected by the classical Indian music Shankar was an unparalleled master of. Each spoke of a soft-spoken man who also maintained an air of quiet authority and wisdom. He was as much a Guru, as he was a musician.
Would Indian music, and indeed even the culture of India, have translated so well into the west if Shankar, a great educator, had not been open to being it's greatest cultural ambassador?
His mastery of the Sitar is deservedly legendary and anyone who ever had the great fortune to see this great Master completely immerse himself in the grand ragas of the North Indian tradition, to breathtaking effect, count themselves as extremely fortunate.
I've done this tribute in the 4 'movements' of North Indian raga: Alap, Jor, Jhala and Gat.
Blessed re-birth to you, Ravi !!! And Thank you !!!

The British Formula 3 Championship is a single seater motorsport series, aimed at young racing drivers moving up from FIA Formula 4 championships or Karting. The Series came into being in 2013, the Championship was rebranded GB3 in 2020.
Tatuus Cosworth FA-016 car is used by all competitors, to the same specification. Powered by a 2-litre 230bhp spec Cosworth engine untilising a Cosworth SQ6 engine management system. The cars feature adjustable front wing and two piece rear wing, a front splitter and rear diffuser. Six speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifts provided by Sadev and a limited slip differential unique to BRDC British F3. All cars run on Pirelli tyres.
PAVAN RAVISHANKAR was a racing driver from Singapore. He’s currently enlisted in the Singapore Army for the mandatory 2 years. Ravishankar started his British F3 career started in 2017 where he raced for Double R Racing at the final round at Donington Park where he finished 10th twice. Staying with Double R for the 2018 he won at Silverstone finishing the season 15th, in both 2019 and 2020.

Dancer and choreographer Uday Shankar was born on 8th Dec 1900 in Udaipur, India and died on 26th Sep 1977 in Kolkata, India.
As a pioneer of modern dance in India he created a style of dance, adapting European theatrical techniques to Indian classical dance with elements of Indian classical, folk, and tribal dance.
During 1923 he choreographed pieces for Anna Pavlova and partnered her at Covent Garden in his Krishna and Radha.
His younger brother was Ravi Shankar [Master of the Sitar].

In 2012 Premik recorded with 2011 Grammy nominee vocalist and composer Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon. 'Over 75 musicians came together to record the album in the US and India combining ancient traditional instruments like the rhumba, calypso, ektara, dugdugi and esraj with saxophone, banjo and piano to transcend musical boundaries.'

PREMIK RUSSELL TUBBS
Premik, a composer, arranger, producer and an accomplished multi-instrumentalist performs on various flutes, soprano, alto and tenor saxophones, wind synthesizers, and lap steel guitar.
Premik has worked with everyone from Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Ravi Shankar, Narada Michael Walden, Clarence Clemons, Ornette Coleman, Jackson Browne, Jean-Luc Ponty, Lonnie Liston-Smith, Scarlet Riveria, James Taylor, Sting and Lady Gaga, just to name a few. He is equally adept in pop, R&B, jazz, world and experimental genres.
Sax solos on #1 Hits -: “How Will I Know” (Whitney Houston) and “Baby, Come To Me” (Regina Belle).
Premik's first major recording breakthrough was with John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra on the album“Visions of the Emerald Beyond.” Premik was a major part of the landmark Carlos Santana album "The Swing of Delight" which featured Herbie Hancock as co-arranger and co-musical director. Also featured were Wayne Shorter, Tony Williams, Ron Carter and several members of the Santana band.

The closing track Doh Bahar is a 10 min. long jam where all the instruments are playing together.
Ravi Shankar (b. 1920) the master of North Indian Classical music. Brought the tradition
to West, the first time in 1956 in England. The Hippy movement was interested in Indian
music and even George Harrison started playing Sitar.
Shankar was performing in Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 and in Woodstock in 1969.
His instrument is the Sitar - a North Indian great string instrument.
Shankar has also composed film music and concertos for Sitar and orchestra.

Although the shooting of the Bengali movie Pather Panchali started on 27th October 1952, Satyajit Ray, the Director, was still looking for a rural location for his principal shootings where he could discover for himself,
"how to catch the hushed stillness of dusk in a Bengali village when the wind drops and turns the ponds into sheets of glass, dappled by the leaves of Saluki and Shale, and the smoke from the ovens settles in wispy trails over the landscape and the plaintive blows on conch shells from homes far and near are joined by the chorus of crickets which rises as the light falls, until all one sees are the stars in the sky, and the stars that blink and swirl in the thickets."
In early 1953, Ray found what he had been looking for in a little hamlet called Boral on the outskirts of Calcutta. And yes, there were bamboo groves, mango trees and a pond.
