In a kingdom ravaged by steam-driven robots, that were meant to be toys but turned against humanity, the Archmage of the noble Lady Akira has no other choice but to hire the two bloodiest outlaws to restore security: The Bloodhounds. They were said to be ruthless and quick, never to miss their target.
With a hard thump Asahito throws a bag of gold coin on the tray while shouldering his chainsaw. The bag knocks over and shimmering coins spread over the table. "It's showtime.", he announces with an wild grin on his face. "Working for the nobles huh?" Rodolfinho pauses the cleaning his weapon and raises an eyebrow. "Does that actually make us the good guys? I wonder what they'd say if they knew the 'toy' robots actually belong to our noble Lady." Asahito snorts amused. "They'd pay us to kill her next." In a friendly manner he punches Rod's shoulder. "Good guys? Please. I'd say it makes us the guys who get paid for killing."
"That sounds better.", Rodolfinho answers with a smirk on his lips. "After all I'm Rodolfinho. The bad guy."

L'église Saint-Jean-Baptiste-au-Béguinage dans le centre historique de la ville de Bruxelles, est une église de style baroque italo-flamand. Sa construction en 1657 est attribuée à l'architecte Lucas Faydherbe (attribution incertaine). L'église est église paroissiale catholique. Elle fut restaurée après l'incendie qui ravagea sa charpente en 2000.
The Saint-Jean-Baptiste-au-Béguinage church in the historical center of the city of Brussels, is an Italian-Flemish baroque church. Its construction in 1657 is attributed to the architect Lucas Faydherbe (uncertain attribution). The church is Catholic parish church. It was restored after the fire that ravaged its framework in 2000.
A column of smoke rose over Celista, as the raging fires burned east along Shuswap Lake. 1.5km away, the ash rained down on us as winds too, began to increase. Fortunately the distance was great enough to keep the fires away.
However, it was time to leave.
Once again, wildfires are ravaging BC, as they are in many other parts of Canada, as Americans know from the heavy smoke drifting down into the States. And southern BC has also been experiencing even more hazy conditions thanks to smoke from wildfires in Washington state drifting north!
The EU, the US, and Canada are all suffering tremendous damage due to these ever increasing wildfires!
In BC, many communities are on evacuation order or alerts, including 8000 people in Kimberley, communities in the Fraser Canyon, and Pemberton (north of Whistler).
20% of BC wildfires are HUMAN CAUSED. The rest are from lightning strikes, thanks for a warming climate--again advanced by HUMAN activity!

Graphic on CTV. As of July 4, 2021, 176 wildfires were burning throughout the Canadian province of BC. One town was 90% burned to the ground within minutes.
Already BC's fire season is the worst ever! As of July 15, there have been 1100 wildfires as opposed to the 10 year average up to July 15 of 209 wildfires. While the average number of square kilometres burned by this date in 10 years is 600, this year 2030 square kilometres have been burned in BC.
While most of these fires were caused by lightning after a severe heat wave, some are still human-caused.
To anyone who smokes in areas in wildfire danger zones, please take care not to toss cigarettes on the ground or out of your vehicle. Maybe carry an tin you can put your butts in to throw in the garbage later?
Even smoking with your vehicle windows open can cause cigarette embers flying out to start bush fires! Ever follow someone smoking in their car at night? It's amazing to see the embers flying out....
Do take care. The town or house that gets destroyed by a carelessly tossed cigarette may be your own, or that of someone you love!

Ravage: to cause severe and violent damage, to ruin, or to lay waste to a place or landscape.
I really can't say what I was looking for or trying to accomplish taking this shot. On one hand it would fall into what Winogrand called "taking a picture to see what it will look like as a picture". On the other hand I was quite overcome by the destruction which laid before me in this process of reforming the landscape.
I'd guess you could say not all pictures need to be 'pretty' to be engaging.
And yes, there is another green bottle / red can pair as seen in the previous shot.
