Here's the cabinet busy scraping Amiga game artwork. This was late on Christmas Eve, and I forgot to take a picture of the tangle of wiring under the control panel for the buttons.
Protip: don't connect the long daisychain of 12V button LED wiring to the buttons while the power is on, thinking you'll save time making sure the lights work as you go. The positive and negative spade terminals will touch, and the shorted wire will get warm...

I purchased a kit of LED illuminated buttons with chrome bezels from eBay. This also came with two arcade joysticks, two Zero-Delay USB controller boards and wiring and microswitches to connect the buttons to the controller boards. What it didn't come with was the wiring to power the LEDs in the buttons - that was purchased separately. Also purchased separately was a rectangular red button to simulate a coin slot and one and two player buttons.
