As seen on a walk in London.

I've driven a few of these over the years but never owned one myself.

Taken in Sewardstone Road, Chingford in March 1977. All the blurred shops in the background have long changed hands. The Range-Rover above was less than a year old when seen above, but a check shows it's not been taxed and MOT'd since 1995. It's either long scrapped or awaiting restoration somewhere in a garage or barn.

Another slide restoration from slides I took many decades ago.

Taken in July 1983 with a Pentax MX.

I had a Range-Rover the same colour but a year older at the time, although mine only had the standard round black bonnet mounted mirrors and a towbar.

The large blue/grey door behind the trailer was a truck workshop - now flats - and the car park (far top right) is a row of terraced houses in 2020.

As seen at Brooklands Museum.

I liked the location - and the fact that this is one of my favourite colours on a Range-Rover.

Another shot of the cottage garden view from a slightly different POV and showing a bit more of the cottage . The telephone wires are a bit of a eyesore , but I am showing it as it is this time .

Where the Range Rover is parked and hidden by the greenery is a single storey building with a cockerel windvane which has been the subject of my camera in the past . One of my oddest shots here is called " Heathrow , We Have A Problem ! " - have a peek , it is in the first comment box .

A blacked out Range Rover cruising around Harrods in Central London!

A stunning blue range rover passing Harrods!

Spotted on a Harbie walk - bit dull for me!! Who thinks it needs more colour?

Appears to see some off-road use, but looking more original than the example I'd seen a few days previously. Good to see on the black plate too.

Out and about Launceston on a Sunday afternoon during my 50mm challenge, I came across the Governor of Tasmania's transport and driver. This must have been an official visit to the Museum at Inveresk. The driver was good enough to allow me to photograph the only vehicle in the state that does not require a registration number. Since the Governor represents Queen Elizabeth II it merely displays the Crown.

Range Rover

Given a painting style treatment.

Under the majestic hood of the mighty range is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and an 85 kW electric motor integrated into the transmission. Together they develop 404 hp and a thrust of 640 Newton meters of torque. Enough to accelerate the 2.6 tons from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The top speed is 220 km/h. In pure EV mode, the P400e manages a brisk 135 km/h.

28/02/2026, Road to Forte do Guincho, Alcabideche, Portugal.

On the way to the old fort we passed this RR, and an hour or so later it was in the same place, but with the driver/owner in attendance.

I spoke to him, a Californian chap who had lived in Portugal for a number of years. He told me that he purchased the car from northern Portugal after it had been restored.

I didn't catch the year of manufacture, however, the rear registration plate shows it was first registered in Portugal in November 1993. This does not necessarily make it a 1993 vehicle, as many used cars are imported to Portugal and re-registered.

I guess it was fitted with either the 3.5L or 3.9L Rover V8 petrol engine.

This poor old thing is in a bit of a state. It doesn't have a SORN declaration on it, DVLA says last taxed in 2001.
