Les aiguilles de Port Coton, sous les nuages, marquent la fin de cette 2nde journée de randonnée sur le GR340. Je vous les montrerai à nouveau, car je suis repassé ici lors de la dernière journée. La 3ème journée a été consacrée à l'étape entre Loc Maria et Le Palais, vous allez donc voir dans les jours à venir le côté Nord-Est de l'ile.
The crags of Port Coton, under the clouds, mark the end of this 2nd day of hiking on the GR340. I'll show them to you again, because I came back here on the last day. The 3rd day was devoted to the stage between Loc Maria and Le Palais, so you will see the north-eastern side of the island in the coming days.
The Riverside Walk Trail in Zion National Park. A view of the Virgin River winding thru Mystery Canyon. This is between the Temple of Sinawava and The Narrows. The trail is a short and mostly flat hike. Parking is limited at the trailhead though but there are buses. This park is a great day trip from Las Vegas. There is also lodging here if you need an early start on a trail. A hiker's paradise. #NPS #ZionNationalPark #RiversideWalkTrail
Népal - je commence avec cette photo une série sur le trek que j’ai fait dans la région de Pokhara à trois reprises ces dernières années.
Rien de technique, il suffit d’avoir une bonne condition physique et une bonne paire de chaussures de marche pour évoluer en altitude.
La photo ci-dessus a été prise alors que je repartais du village d’Ulleri où je venais de passer la nuit dans une guest-house. Ulleri était notre dernière étape d’une randonnée en altitude de 10 jours.
Douze heures plus tard nous étions sur le bord de la route asphaltée où un taxi nous attendait pour rejoindre Pokhara.

Nothing technical, you just need to be in good physical condition and a good pair of walking shoes to move at altitude.
The photo above was taken as I was leaving the village of Ulleri where I had just spent the night in a guesthouse. Ulleri was our final stop on a 10 day high altitude hike. Twelve hours later we were on the asphalt roadside where a taxi was waiting for us to reach Pokhara.

The castle stands at the end of a rocky plateau forming a spur thanks to the presence of a natural fault. Dominating the so-called country of the four rivers, it was the seat of an important barony from the Carolingian aristocracy of Quercy of the Castelnau de Bretenoux family - already in possession of a fortified residence in the surrounding area in the 11th century. It was during the 14th and 15th century that the castle adopted its final configuration

The Aiguilles de Bavella (Corsican: I Forchi di Bavedda) are rocky spikes of red granite[1] that dominate the hill of the same name. The name means needles of Bavella. At 1218 m, the hill connects the Alta Rocca [fr] to the east coast of Corsica. This massif is smaller yet much more popular than the "aiguilles de Popolasca". The site is characterized by jagged peaks, large rock walls and pine trees twisted by the wind.
Located in the centre of the "Massif de Bavella", are the seven "tours d'Asinau," or towers of Asinau, the actual "needles"
