At times, we thought we were in a real rally: our 4X4 drivers gave the impression to race, the odometer exceeded the 90 km/h (56 mph) on the track, all in the middle of clouds of dust.
I was never afraid, however, because they drove very well, and the 4x4 were so well suspended that we were practically not shaken.
Here, our driver had started with a bang and got a little ahead. Then, he had the good idea to stop us at the top of a hill, the time to make us admire 2 other cars of our expedition that were rushing behind us to catch up with us.

Le rallye
Par moment, on se serait cru dans un vrai rallye : nos chauffeurs de 4X4 donnaient l'impression de se faire la course, le compteur kilométrique dépassait allègrement les 90 km/h sur la piste, tout cela au milieu de nuages de poussière.
Je n'ai cependant jamais eu peur, car ils conduisaient très bien , et les 4x4 étaient tellement bien suspendus qu'on n'était pratiquement pas secoués.
Ici, notre chauffeur avait démarré en fanfare et pris un peu d'avance. Puis , il avait eu la bonne idée de nous arrêter en haut d'une côte, le temps de nous faire admirer 2 autres bolides de notre expédition qui fonçaient derrière nous pour nous rattraper.

Another slide restoration, I'd guess from the 1980s, location unknown.
Usually when I restore slides they are really dark to look at, but this was the opposite and I thought it might be blank. I've managed to pull a fair bit of detail back.
The red & cream RT to the left was bought new by St Helens Corporation who bought 40. They were the only operator aside from London Transport who bought them. By comparison, London Transport bought 6956 in various forms. After service in London, they went everywhere across the globe.

Por enquanto na Categoria motos quem segue firme na classificaçao geral é o frances Depres seguido pelo noroegues Verhoeven...

Zokbar World Defense's final attempt at an honest colonial police cruiser before distributing its weapons to megacorporations. Tumalo, Oregon
I often ride my bike to Tumalo, a small town a few miles outside of Bend. I was heading back when I saw this motorcycle event happening. It was very fun.
What appears to be a dirt bike of some kind have been going past our place for about the past two hours or so. We often see various car rallies, atv rallies and motorcycle rallies in the nice weather.

Akaroa is a small town on Banks Peninsula in the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand, situated within a harbour of the same name. The name Akaroa is Kāi Tahu Māori for "Long Harbour", which would be spelled "Whangaroa" in standard Māori.
A left party political rally, it shows all the typical elements; billboards with inflammatory inaccurate information, street vendors selling propaganda and other stuff. Most of the people attending the event have little idea about what they are protesting.
