It was pouring down relentless sheets of rain and a small group of band-tails landed in the buckeye. As the rain got even harder several of these native birds began to raise and open their wings fully to take in the opportunity for a complete bath....it was a truly remarkable sight to see this behavior in a complete downpour up in the trees on the greyest of winter days

Taken through the front window of a taxi while sitting in the back seat. Thankfully I was able to get a cab and remain dry.... :-)
Was going to crop it, to close in on the part in the middle, but thought the framing with the out of focus rear view mirror on the top and the out of focus meter box and the outline of the bottom of the window seemed to be fine just as it was....

A rainy day walk in the Arboretum. We got very wet, but all the leaves had a lovely wet sheen to them!

My Kato caught in the rain. Summer is our rain and thunderstorm season,but often it starts in September already. I am delighted for the rain we've had lately.
Rainy Days And Mondays.....
There are days when you are trapped in the house and all you can do is look out the window at the street being soaked by torrents of rain.. this was one of those days.
I happened to look out the window and it was so overcast, it looked like night time. The rain was pounding down and everything was getting a good soaking, the trees danced to the rhythm of the wind and rain..
