The Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (WSRT) is an aperture synthesis interferometer that consists of a linear array of 14 antennas arranged on a 2.7 km East-West line. Ten of the telescopes are on fixed mountings while the remaining four dishes are movable along two railtracks.
Hatte heute grosses Glück mit meiner Kamera. Gerade als ich Fotos von den Bahngleisen in meiner Heimatstadt Cham schiessen wollte kam die Bayerwald Bahn vorbei.
Today had great luck with my camera. Just as I was shooting pictures of the train tracks in my hometown Cham came by the Bavarian Forest Railway.

So finally the elusively promised snow arrived on a morning where as I was rudely awakened yet again, by my neighbour who seemingly cannot hold civil conversations without shouting it all over everyone else, but, when I opened the curtains and saw the picture of Winter before me, despite my level of fatigue, I grabbed everything and headed on out into the Storkow countryside.
I happened upon these tracks in what was a completely still and silent environment, wanting to add something more to the chill factor, I breathed onto the lens glass, awaited for the mist to slightly subside and snapped off this shot. I think it worked to create a more Wintry suggestion of cold.
I hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you'll never walk alone ..... Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday - HMBT!
Again a classic point of view of a classic subject. It seems I like it the classic way ... Since I am on Flickr I learned that it is perfectly fine to imitate other photographers .... the variation comes through imperfect imitation ;) The title and quote I took from a Pink Floyd song, I like the lyrics. Hope it works with the image, for me it does. Just a tryout.
Thanks to all my great Flickr friends ... for all your comments, encouragement, faves and inspiration you give ...

Tank car on the terrain in front of the power plant of the Peenemünde Army Research Center (now part of the Peenemünde Historical-Technical Museum), which was built from 1936. The first functioning large rocket, Aggregat 4 (A4, which became known as the "retaliatory weapon" (Vergeltungswaffe) V2), was developed and tested at the Army Research Center.
Tank cars like this one (type "DEUTZ", manufacturer: Vereinigte Westdeutsche Waggonfabriken, (WWK), Cologne, built in 1942) were used, among other things, to transport alcohol as rocket fuel to Peenemünde. (The A4/V2 was propelled by a mixture of diluted alcohol and oxygen).

Rannoch station opened in 1894 and is situated on the West Highland Line in Perth and Kinross. When the West Highland Line was built across Rannoch Moor, it’s builders had to float the tracks on a mattress of tree roots, brushwood and thousands of tons of earth and ashes to prevent the heavy steel tracks sinking in the bog. This photo is the line now heading north from Rannoch to it’s next Station “Corour” the UK’s highest and remotest,
