I took this from my driveway!

I've got to give Quincy some credit. He was with us the entire trip that I've been documenting here. We ended up driving 3,800 miles in all and he was a trooper the whole way.

On the side of Torch Lake, Osceola Township, Houghton County, Michigan.

Originally built in the 1880's, added onto, rebuilt, enlarged, enlarged again and finally abandoned in the late 1930's.

Like lots of places in the Copper Country, this structure is on the National Register of Historic Places.

This image was originally shot and processed as a Enfuse image (in 2015) - combining several images for more dynamic range. The .tif output file looked interesting so I ran it through Capture One.

I love the light and textures around the Quincy L stop. Its one of Chicago's oldest stops originally opened over 128 years ago! Its been restored and refurbished twice in that time.

Actually the lights have been out for some time at the Wollaston Theater. Located in Quincy, MA the theater was built in 1926 and in its last years had been showing second run movies, finally closing for good in 2003. Hopes for its renovation never materialized and crews have started work on demolishing the structure just this past week.

My wife says Quincy looks like one of the characters from the animated movie, Isle of Dogs, in this portrait. I agree.

Quincy Bog Trail, Plymouth, New Hampshire. In a year with average rainfall, there would be water in the slough seen here... Seven small streams feed the bog, and all the ones I walked over in my recent ramble there were dry or mud. Unfortunately, what's happening here is exactly clear, for what it's worth.

A rainy day was perfect for visiting this bog.

Our sweet, kind, and exuberant Australian Shepard, Quincy, passed away last week from cancer. I'm sharing some photos in memory of him.
