all shot on an iPhone using an app called 'TimeLapse' which takes loads of pictures at a set delay.
Then you get all the photos off the iPhone and into a folder in their own.
Open up Quicktime and choose 'Open Image Sequence' and select the first photo in the (numbered) sequence. Quicktime will then ask you how many images per second you want. I chose 10 frames per second. Quicktime will then make a movie out of all the rest of the photos for you.
Then I saved that as a Quicktime movie and opened it up in iMovie and added a bunch of the built-in sound effects and exported again.

For some reason I really like this photo. Maybe it's because I was doing so much driving and it reminds me of how I actually experienced it.

9/24/2010: Image and color profile G1.2 of an encoded VC-1 wmv file generated by Expression Encoder 4 Pro. There is little noticeable difference between the compressed wmv video and the uncompressed source file (see image G1-1).

Although Chicago wasn't in Irene's path, we did see strong winds and waves along the shore. Lake Michigan is normally placid; the large waves we were seeing looked more like ocean waves.
