Lines and planes at the airport.
A new addition to my series Lines and Planes.
Surprising compositions in the everyday, a special view of buildings, interiors ... lines made abstract. I hope the intention comes across.

At Reumannplatz in the pedestrian zone of Favoriten, Vienna's 10th district
The lockdown for unvaccinated people is having an effect, but it came far too late. The seven-day incidence in Austria as a whole is currently 971.5 due to the population's lack of willingness to be vaccinated. However, the differences between the individual federal states are enormous, depending on who is in power there.
In Upper Austria, a coalition of the conservative Kurz-ÖVP and the right-wing anti-vaccination party FPÖ governs. The incidence there is 1,557.5. The ÖVP governor of Salzburg recently distinguished himself by making fun of virologists. In this idiot's state, the incidence is now 1,672.5, and the hospitals are sounding the alarm about overloading their intensive care units.
In Vienna, which is also a federal state, the incidence is 524.3, which is still very high, but the lowest incidence figure of all the federal states. Vienna is governed by a social democratic-led coalition between the SPÖ and the liberal NEOS party. Coronavirus measures are always a bit stricter here than in the rest of Austria and the testing and vaccination infrastructure is much better.
The main problem, however, is the federal government, a coalition of the ÖVP and the Greens. This coalition is like a marriage that continues solely because of the children. It is only continued because of the coronavirus crisis. However, the work of this government suffers enormously from this state of affairs.
By the way, I admire the Green Health Minister Mückstein for his equanimity. When the ÖVP Tourism Minister Elisabeth Köstinger made an impertinent reply to one of his proposals, I couldn't possibly have refrained from telling her to shut her stupid mouth.

In the middle of Hamburg harbor there is an amazing photospot, easy to reach and very close to the big ships. Early on a winter evening this photo was taken from "Waltersdorfer Damm" close to the entrance to Eurogate harbor terminals.
Coronavirus.

Una serie di tartarughe d'acqua sono adagiate sopra un ramo caduto in acqua per scaldarsi al tiepido sole pasquale. Sembra facciano la fila per andare da qualche parte.

Queueing for the Andorran border. Look at the state of the road! Much different now :-)
Shot on Kodachrome in 1973 with a Canon TL camera and probably FL50mm f/1.8 II lens.
20148 and 20092 wait to get the road outside Toton, another pair of Class 20's wait their turn. I seem to recall seeing almost endless processions of coal trains pass this spot back in the day. This one has been improved somewhat in photoshop with the addition of some sky interest.

If you have ever been to London you probably know why these people are queueing here to take a photo?
Some of Ensign's long term restoration projects got moved out of the undercover storage area whilst building work was carried out.
(Cut to stage left where Caly and Levi use their weapons to kill the two guards in the wings, and Caly spots Sienna, Mateo, and Ronan on the opposite side of the stage.)
Levi: They've made Trajan a lifevessel?
Caly: I guess he's bigger on the inside, now.
(Caly gives Levi a smile and a shrug before leaping off the stage and dashing down the length of the remaining queue in front of Lilitus, her right hand brushing the skin of each human as she passes, skipping Dyanna, and the people sway, each feeling a little lightheaded. She stops before Lilitus.)
Caly: Well, hello imperious impersonator.
Lilitus: (looking down at Caly) Tenet scum!
Caly: Now that we're acquainted--
(Caly leaps onto the edge of the stage, landing on her left hand and kicking out with both feet, hitting the heavy podium and sending it crashing into Lilitus, sending both skidding to the back of the stage.)
Mateo: Think that's the sign?
Sienna: Looks like a sign to me.
(Sienna, Mateo, and Ronan dash onto the ballroom floor from one side of the stage while Levi dashes out from the other side)
Levi: Ronan! Get the humans out! (pointing at the dizzy formal-attired humans, then starting to kill what remained of guards of those waiting to board)
(Cut to the back of the stage where Lilitus kicks the podium away like it was paper, facing off with Caly.)
Lilitus: I've consumed dozens of lives, tenet!
Caly: That explains the chin bloat.
Lilitus: (drawing a different sort of weapon than Caly held) Die, traitor!
(Caly performs a quick backflip as Lilitus fires, the beam passing over her, scoring the carpet. Caly glances at the burn pattern where she'd been a moment before.)
Caly: Okay, lesson learned. I shouldn't body shame.
(to be continued)
Thank you to the cast!
