Robert Rodriguez fielding questions at the San Diego Comicon

Questioning the Magic Donkey.

Some people are questioning why I took a picture of a Giant Tiger store. Well, for starters, this store reminded me of my mom, and it made me miss her, as I always complain about her visiting Giant Tiger here in Saskatoon. What's unique about this specific location is that it has been in the same building since 1961.

Back story... I saw this lady working in a shop and asked her to put the red hat on. She was reluctant but brave. Apps used--icolorama and Camera+

Questioning the ethics of eating a fish out of season. Small mouth bass are still spawning season so we had to put him back. (the fish, that is. It's always open season on Marc)

Howdja reach THAT conclusion?!

questioning as to whether or not that "Bring it Down" was by Mr. Bones or not. What do you think? Caught 6/19/07 by michaelpoulin@boxcarart.com. One of the finds on only 6 cars at one of my layups. Wasn't feeling to optimistic of what I would find with that amount of cars. Got to admit there are times I don't even get out of the car when there are only this many. I got lucky this time.

When I read the word questioning, I immediately thought about something retrospective. But as I was searching for a song that could fit that theme (Rihanna's "Question Existing" among them) I just kept coming back to this Shakira classic.

I love these lyrics and I had fun trying to illustrate them.

Decrypting Fantasy - tales of the unseen

Fee was curious what I was doing (I was taking pictures of our two younger cats, Thor and Loki, I had already taken hers xD). Isn't she lovely? :)

Fee is a shelter cat that came to live with us simultaneously with Thor and Loki on the 27th of July.

Questioning Passion speaker Lars Svendsen, the Norwegian philosopher and author, in Stackhouse Theater.

The inquisitor, on black and white 50 speed film.

Nature and me represents the luxury of the time spent alone.Time spent to ruminate about life and living. To reflect on the past, to think about the present and plan for the future. It is also about following one's passion. questioning oneself, soul searching and finding a purpose to ones life.

"questioning, and saying

our opinions, they're failing

they're constantly changing

our ignorance, remaining

we're hoping, and waiting

we're living, but dying

while tring to find out

my meaning isn't planned out

come to the conclusion

might as well be an illusion

while trying to find out

i did nothing, but shut out"

"Can I come, too?": How I stopped questioning faith for a minute and made eyes at the giraffes.

.

Spent a lot of time at the zoo yesterday looking at these guys. Had an epiphany of sorts. Giraffes might just be the definitive proof I've been looking for that God exists.

.

Oh, I know, old news to many. Blasphemy to others. Beat me up if you like. After all, I did witness the birth of both of my children. What else does a guy need, right? Do I have to be hit over the head with a shovel or what? Apparently so. I'm often slow on the uptake. But that's between me and my maker.

.

Meantime, compare this image to my last post. Also of a giraffe. Is there any other creature on earth that so completely exudes the entire spectrum of silliness, grace, awkwardness, power and oddity? Maybe there is, but I hadn't noticed. Maybe now I will.

People are always questioning Guan Liang’s paintings: they look just like children’s work, why are they so valuable? Even some great writers applauded Guan Liang’s paintings, and some famous painters exchanged their works with him. The answer comes from the question itself. Guan Liang’s painting is valuable because it’s just like children’s work, with the innocent heart of an art addict.

Morning dive at Clifton Garden. I was questioning my sanity when I woke up at 5:30 am this morning and drove over when it was still dark. Then we had to figure out how to get parking tickets as it wasn't 8am yet... so we wrote a note to the park ranger... hahaha for real!

58 mins of diving, I was so sad to had to surface especially since I still had 140 bars left. Alas, that's when our parking tickets ended... All the morning dive hassles paid off with some of these decent shots.

Exploring the autonomous rise of contemporary art in the Global South, this two-day symposium traced aesthetic and contextual change to identify an elastic discourse around global visual culture. Questioning geographically prescribed definitions of art, collecting, and exhibition making through lectures, short talks, and moderated discussions, the program aimed to spark critical praxis through the cross-circulation of cultural ideas. This international gathering of intellectual activists focused on cultural, ethnographic, geographic, and personal processes of becoming.
